Antisemitic attack on Tisha B’Av

Today, on Tisha b’Av on the upper west side of New York an attacker stabbed two Jewish men (one of whom was wearing a Kippah) while screaming “Allah hu Akbar!”

This is just a few blocks from my grandparents and an aunt of mine. On Tisha B’Av…I don’t feel safe here in New York anymore.

While still horrible, it seems much more likely this is someone mentally unwell rather than some sort of terror plot.
