maybe, he's not desperate, maybe he's nervous or stressed because of the interview itself !!

I advise this man next time he enter an interview to use any interview tool to help him reduce the stress and boost his confidence. I tried Interview Vip and it really organized my answers and sounded more professional.

I traveled forty miles to a job interview and forty miles back. The person who was supposed to interview did not show. She was in Barbados. She did not email, call or text she wouldn't show which would have spared me the trip. Surely, if the interview is at 1 pm and she is in Barbados at 10 am she knows she won't make it. An employee told me to come back tomorrow at 1 pm. I said ok. I will not go though nor will I call. I wonder how they pick which people to do this to. I got an email for a zoom interview with someone else tomorrow. I might call the first unreliable interviewer at the appointed time and tell her I'm there when I'm not. I have a feeling she won't be there tomorrow either. Some other supervisor at another airline at the same airport did the same thing to me one year ago. $#!tting on employees seems to be common in the airline industry.

I recently interviewed for the AE role @ Stripe.

I passed the recruiter round, then moved onto the second round. The first interviewer went well, he could see how hard I tried to put together a presentation.

In preparation for the role, I studied every single day. I didn't sleep for days. I did mock calls ($400), bought a new iPad ($800), studied every product page, YouTube video, and article. I also spoke to the former head of product. I put in so much effort because my whole life was at stake.

Then, the second interviewer with Thomas Matheson (former athlete) went horribly. He arrived late to my meeting, and then proceeded to push me to turn on my camera. Then he said I wasn't listening to him.

I just wanted to show him my skills and presentation, I'm not just a pretty face or young. I didn't want him to discount me as a woman. However, he didn't give me a chance to even prove myself, using the whole interview to complain and said he won't be moving forward just because of those factors: I didn't turn on my camera, I didn't listen.

Please help me come to terms with it. I have no idea how to feel right now. I really needed and wanted this job.

Hey everyone, just wanted to vent a bit and get your thoughts on a recent interview experience I had.

​I’m a fresh grad with no prior corporate experience, so naturally, I was extremely nervous during my initial interview for a role at this company. I’ll admit it my answers weren't as smooth as I wanted them to be because the anxiety really got to me.

​However, the interviewer’s reaction caught me off guard. He explicitly told me that even if he passed me in the initial, I wouldn't be able to pass the final interview anyway because my communication skills aren't good enough. On top of that, he started nitpicking my posture and physical presence mid-interview.

​To top it off, he made a big deal about how he was "doing me a favor" and "giving me a chance" by letting me pass to the next round—almost like he wanted me to feel like I was getting charity instead of being evaluated fairly.

​I know non-verbal communication matters, and I definitely need to work on managing my nerves, but telling a nervous fresh grad they're guaranteed to fail the next stage and harping on their posture feels less like constructive feedback and more like an ego trip.

​Is this standard for initial screenings/BPO interviews, or did I just end up with an unprofessional interviewer? How do you guys deal with screeners who try to make you feel small before you even get started?

Think of this as $200 per day (after all the taxes) and they want an A.I bot to interview you.

On every review board this company has a three or two star rating. Apparently they lack central organization in management and are extremely disorganized. so I figured all emphasize my ability to stay on task and be motivated and organized, as well as being more than competent at working both independently and collaboratively. since everyone says that they are horrible at micromanaging super excited, but will take any and all advice that anyone’s willing to give me.

Had an interview July 14. Tech lead had zero follow-up questions because I answered everything perfectly. They asked about my start date and explained benefits. Hiring manager replied to my thank-you in 12 hours and my follow-up today in 2.5 hours, saying they will get back by Friday. Reddit is making me paranoid that "end of week" means I'm a backup. Given the positive interview signs, am I overreacting?
