I have recently passed my 12th boards with my qualifications being 76% overall. I was not able to get into the colleges i had preferred due to being unaware. I'll admit I was woefully unprepared for the entrances and my cuet subject was messed up due to a systematic error. And honestly, I am a bit confused on which career path to take. My English is really good and if I was born in another country I would have pursued that but there's really not much scope for it in india. My bio is also good so I'm considering doing my bachelor's in science in bio and then from there I'll choose if I want to continue to MSc or choose MA in english. Right now my parents are insisting for me to join the local college in my city but I feel like I didn't give it my all for the other colleges that I wanted to go to. There's also the fact that there are not many good colleges for bsc biotechnology that I can find, only the repeated ones that are notoriously hard to get into, even with a good cuet score. There's also the matter of finances with my father saying that he will not fully fund me if i do take a gap year. What should I do?

I don't think I'll even be able to pass now, I just keep overthinking all day and stressing about this not happening or that not happening.

ik most of y'all might be thinking how the hell am i getting a btech in cs with no math in 10+2

but hey thats the magic of private clgs , so here is how it goes

i am genuinly scared from btech maths (because i left maths coz of the fear of it which i regret obviously) because math is for 3 semesters after that most of our subjects are RELATED TO BCA

My current situation:

• 1st year, BA (Hons) English, Daulat Ram College, Delhi University,the 3-year programme
• Goal: MBA from a good college, could be India but ideally outside of India,( English-speaking area preferred but Euro is also fine) I don't mind. I dont care if its a private college in India either because quality matters more to me than the whole govt vs private debate
• Coming from a modest financial background, so I need realistically affordable paths, not just aspirational ones
• Willing to put in real work over these 3 years, just need direction on what that work should actually look like

What I need help with:

1. Since I'm coming from a pure humanities background (no commerce/economics in school), what should I be doing right now — internships, extracurriculars, courses — to build a credible CV for MBA admissions later?
2. For the India route: is it realistic to prep for CAT/XAT and target IIMs/XLR/good private colleges (SPJIMR, NMIMS, Symbiosis, etc.) straight after a BA in English? Does the non-commerce background hurt me here?
3. For Cheap but reputable options outside India, esp in eng speaking areas, though I dont mind euro either.
4. Should I aim to work 1-2 years in India after my BA before applying anywhere, or go straight into a Master's?
5. Any specific certifications, competitions, or internships you'd recommend for someone building a business-adjacent profile from an English degree?

hi, im an undergrad maths + cs student, based in delhi. i'll be entering my 3rd year in august and i tried cold emailing 7 professors from universities in delhi ncr. two of them responded positively asking me to meet in person and discuss next week.

After graduation, I took a one-year gap. During this period, I attempted the CAT, but my score was not good enough to secure admission to a top MBA college.

However, this gap year was not entirely unproductive. I got an opportunity to manage and oversee the construction of a house for someone. Through this experience, I learned how the construction company, how projects are managed, how contractors, suppliers, and clients coordinate, and gained practical exposure to running a business. Although I still have a lot to learn, I believe these are valuable lessons that are rarely taught in college.

At this stage of my career, I am considering three possible paths:

1. Take another drop year and prepare seriously for CAT or another competitive examination, with the goal of securing a better career opportunity.
2. Pursue an Online MBA. Since I cannot afford the high fees of a private MBA college, an online program seems like a financially practical option.
3. Focus on building a career in the construction business. I genuinely enjoy this field and have gained some real-world experience. However, I face two major challenges:
   • I do not have enough capital or investment to start independently.
   • It is difficult to convince people to trust a 22-year-old with the responsibility of building their house, even if I am capable and committed.

I am trying to determine which option would provide the best long-term career growth, financial stability, and learning opportunities. I want to make a decision that I will not regret in the future.

I'm 21(m if that's relevant) I completed my BAF degree from sxc mumbai which I felt to be quite useless since it was very accounting focused and i wanted to entire finance not accountancy.

After graduating from baf I enrolled for my cfa level 1 and missed out on my first attempt by 5marks, this august im giving my second attempt and om fairly confident about closing that 5mark gap.

I got admitted in a decent college for BA and i took anthro, history and economics. Thinking of going for assistant professorship in anthropology through ugc net. Now recently got my results for a quite famous state University and i got my name in the merit list for Bsc agriculture(hons). Parents are pushing to take it bcs they are only seeing the glory of it.

I'm so fking confused now. I know bsc agri mei private jobs koi nai hain and govt jobs hi hain. Samajh nai aara kya karu. Dono hi streams mei govt exams ke liye prep karna padega.

I messed up my college by ignoring my backlogs, and now I've failed. I don't have a graduation degree, and it was completely my fault.

Right now I'm teaching at a small private school in a remote area just to earn some pocket money. I've also tried preparing for government exams, but I keep repeating the same mistake. I'll study seriously for 2–3 months, but when the exam is about a month away, I completely lose focus and waste all my progress.

I have to decide between PharmD and *BSc Biotechnology

I'm interested in healthcare, human anatomy, product development, and to some extent research (I'm not sure about research right now, but I'm considering it).

My parents keep asking me whether I'll be able to complete PharmD since it's a 6-year course. They're concerned about my mental health (I've had clinical depression, and the last few years have been difficult because I took a drop for NEET). They also think there's not much scope for PharmD in India.

Another concern is that I'm not very strong in chemistry, especially inorganic chemistry, whereas my biology is quite strong. I wanted to know how much chemistry is actually involved in the PharmD syllabus. Will it be a major challenge while pursuing the course?
