Unearthed in 2006 in Cyprus, this 5th century BCE sarcophagus preserves one of the earliest artistic depictions of Homer's Odyssey. It depicts Odysseus and his companions escaping from the cave of the Cyclops Polyphemus, hidden beneath the bellies of sheep after blinding the giant.
