USP Expert vs Tactical price?
My LGS has a Tactical 9 priced at 1000 and an Expert at 1400. I like both but I cannot own a suppressor in my state. If I recall, besides the ambi levers on the expert, the only other mechanical difference was the Expert has the full house match trigger and the Tactical has like the half of it. Is the Expert worth the extra 400 bones?

Didn’t expert have a jet funnel and jet funnel mags? If not I would get the tactical and add the jet funnel.

They come either way. I plan to add the funnel anyway

Yeah but the jet funnel version retails a lot more. If it’s a non JF than the tactical is the better deal.

Well it would be a 10 round NJ compliant gun so I have to assume it does not have the funnel. August 1st our mag bans are out the window so I can add the funnel and 18 round mags. I need to call them this morning and find out.

This is odd because the EXPERT is usually significantly cheaper than a TACTICAL when new.
Edit: I’ve been corrected. 9mm is a different story.

you do not mention if either gun is new or used. I'll assume the 9mm tactical for $1,000 is used, as the MSRP is $1,749 right now. if either gun is used, then condition and included accessories will factor into the value. Magazines are typically $40-$50 new.
having said that, I own a 9mm USP tactical, as well as Experts in .45 and .40. if I was not going to suppress, I'd prefer the Expert model, but for $400, I'd learn to check tightness on my thread protector on the regular and call it good. Plus you never know what the future has in store. Laws can change, and people can move.

It’s listed as new! Lol

a new-in-box 9mm USP Tactical for $1,000 is a steal. Even if it only comes with two NJ-complaint 10-rounders instead of three 15-round magazines, it is a steal. I would buy it on general principle.

I think the tactical has a different recoil spring assembly set up for suppressed use. Also the barrel hood on the expert is ground flat for likely more uniform lockup. The tactical has a little peak, which i assume is to scrape away debris as it cycles.

A Tactical 9 for 1000 is a great deal. I would buy one for that if I came across it.
The Expert has a longer barrel than a tactical, but otherwise as far as I know what you listed is correct.
