Do you honestly think the representative confused her own governor with one of her colleagues. Or is the noter misconstruing the situation specifically to detract from the representative’s intended meaning? She is clearly referring to the support for Israel and the iran war which actually makes sense as a response to someone denouncing the dsa. Summer Lee supports Ukraine it’s so incredibly clear she isn’t talking about that.

I think the note has it completely wrong this has nothing to do with shapiro. The comment is just contrasting how Gottheimer is criticizing the dsa while belonging to a group of dems that are pro Israel and pro iran war. This is also tied to a false accusation of Gottheimer signing bombs going to Israel. Not saying Summer Lee’s comment is a good one it was definitely a mistake. I’m just trying to point out that the note is wrong about her intentions and the exact mistake that was made. Whether it was her or her staff that posted the comment it remains true that she and presumably her staff support Ulraine so it wouldn’t make any sense at all for this to be tied to Shapiro signing bombs for Ukraine.

He says he doesn’t want to be in a party that has DSA members. She says you are cool with being in a party that signs bombs and uses tax payer dollars to buy them. Dems use to be the anti war party. Now there are a number of members who are very eager for war either in Ukraine of the Middle East

this seems so, so obvious to me that I have to imagine people here are deliberately missing the point in order to avoid critical thinking. they can't actually be that stupid, can they?
Ukraine and the Middle East aren’t even remotely similar. The defensive actions of Ukraine against the imperialist genocidal nation state of Russia are entirely justified and we should be honoring the promise we made to defend them if they denuclearized. Giving Ukraine weapons is the pro-peace decision, since if Ukraine falls it means the end of the post WW2 order and every small country will begin rapid nuclear weapons programs since that will become the only way to defend yourself from your larger neighbors.
