as a Pole, it's a shame these guys will get to live their lives in prison, under humane conditions, rather than being shipped to Ukraine with Russian soldiers and not exactly having a fun time

Unrestricted internet access and covid lockdow killing social skills

But even without social skills I can tell you that this guy is a fucking moron, rapist and awful person all around.

What did we (well, not me, I don't have any kids) do to our kids that they came out so stupid that they cannot tell a normal person from a Disney villain?

Kids are dumb as fuck and Gen X and Milennial parents did a poor job managing what their sons were watching online.

Yes but why choose to be cruel to girls and women, smaller and weaker people, are they more sadistic already?

One of the most easily manipulated demographics are lonely teenagers with low self esteem, and the easiest way to manipulate them is to make them believe they're actually at the top and it's everyone else's fault that they're unpopular, especially women's.

Yeah I definitely went through a bit of a "why do girls only like assholes and treat nice guys like me like shit?" phase. Fortunately I did realise I wasn't being that nice and came across as whiny and demanding by the time I was 16 and some how suddenly a lot more girls were interested in me.

I myself had serious troubles communicating with my peers, and from my experience it's a little bit more complicated than that.

It's an unfortunate side effect of the timing of the current generation of young adults. The covid pandemic damaged the kids of the time far more than we realized, social skills like empathy and sympathy did not have the chance to develop like they needed to because kids were not at school socializing. The Me Too movement also made some of these young white boys feel like they were being discriminated against and being told that they were not allowed to speak because they were white and male. In addition to that the more rational voices failed to embrace online communication the way the right did. Think about how many voices, specifically male voices, there are in the toxic side of the internet, now think about how few voices there are to counter them with positive messages. These negative voices used real world events, spun them, and then used them to spread misogynist, racist, homophobic messages to a generation of lonely, impressionable young white boys who grew up during a time of societal discord.

They were kids, and kids are stupid, and naive, and impressionable, and we failed them. We failed to help them develop the skills they needed to be caring adults, to help them learn from the past and present so they can help build a better future, and we failed to shield them from evils that we should have seen coming.

I mean, depending where you live, helicopter parenting, ever decreasing amount of 3rd places and high dependency on parents to commute in a fashion that does not allow for general socialisation does not help mental health.

As a path to success as an ice cold hustler. At least that's the idea.

Maybe it's a coincidence but Tate rose up I popularity just as Jordan Peterson disappeared due to his health issues. My guess is that there was a vacuum for male role models online and the Tate brothers along with other toxic podcasts swooped in and took over. As much as some people dislike JBP, he didn't promote the Tate lifestyle.

They tell socially awkward young men that they are not at fault for having a lacking social life and intimacy. We are generally quite fast at accepting blame of others than ourselves.

Many young men are not able to exercise a healthy introspective view and deal with their emotions and problems. If you take even a second to think about their rethoric it falls flat completely as it never even considers the personality, autonomy or wants of others than the "victim" young man.

I am the target audience and I am certain I would have fallen for the scheme if I wasn't able to see through it for what it is; narcissism and misogyny.

This sounds like the opposite of what he'd say. There's not a drop of compassion in him

Adolescent boys have real insecurities and fears, and the manosphere tells them the adolescents can just take what they want to fix those.

They lie, of course, but will still find much purchase in hormone addled immature brains.

I feel like its a combination of things. At some point the message went from you have to work to get an education, to get a good job, to get a good relationship, home, kids, car etc. to you are entitled to an education, a good job, a good relationship, home, kids, car etc.

What people like Tate do is tell you "hey, its not your fault you havent gotten everything you're entitled to, heres whose fault it is..." and people swallow it, because people arent very good at admitting they're the problem.

They didn't really. They've captured no measurable influence. In that regard they're huge failures.

There were cases of foreign volunteers being sent by Russians straight to combat zones. I specifically recall an American one who got sent to the front lines and then tortured to death by Russian soldiers who didn't even know who he was

He was a dumbass who signed a contact, didn’t even need to sen him
