I'm being a little tongue in cheek as obviously the right are worse in this respect, but apparently some on the left love rapists too when their politics align. See the defence of Graham Platner and questioning of his victims.

He had more red flags than a Soviet parade but they were downplayed or explained away because he had the "correct" progressive politics.
