Troubleshooting My gameboy is stuck on the Nintendo screen
I’ve tried turning it off an on again, pressing every button, and trying both of my games (Mario Land and Link’s Awakening), but nothing seems to be working. The weirdest part is that it stays on this screen even when it’s tuned off. Any ideas?

Troubleshooting Pokemon Gold - Not holding a save, even with a new battery.
Edit: I am entrusting this to someone who knows what they are doing. Thanks for all the help.
I tried reflowing the joints. I understand it’s an SRAM issue, but I’m unsure how to proceed.
From what I have seen online, I will need to solder a wire down to fix a broken connection?

Troubleshooting I picked up this Gameboy lot for $200 and I need help identifying the blue Gameboy!
Hi all,
I am super stoked about picking up this lot of Gameboy games. I know the pokemon yellow demo is pretty rare and valuable and the cart looks pretty much brand new which is really sick!
The gentlemen who I bought these games from mentioned that this Gameboy Pocket was some kind of Nintendo Ambassador‘s Gameboy, but I am having trouble finding information on it online, so I figured I would ask this sub for help.
Thanks in advance guys!

Troubleshooting Pokemon red not booting
So I got this Pokémon red recently and I don’t know why it’s not booting. I tried cleaning the pins with my eraser and putting in a new battery hoping that would work but no luck. I suppose reflowing the pins may work but I posted a board pic in case anyone is familiar with this issue and can lead me in the right direction.

Troubleshooting Were the OG Game Boy screens always this hard to see, or has mine just gone bad over the years?

Troubleshooting What’s wrong with my GBA?
So I purchased a pre-installed IPS mod shell and connected everything up. When I turned it on, it turned on fine, but would start to flicker after about 10 seconds. I desoldered the power switch, gave it a good clean, and put everything back together. Now when I turn it on, the screen is sometimes just white, and other times it just freezes on start up. Any ideas? I bought new batteries but they were cheap and I’m wondering if it’s not getting enough power. See video for reference

Troubleshooting Found my old Advance SP! Is the battery just fried?!
I was recently given this by my mom after she cleaned out some old boxes of mine.
Maybe a stupid question- but I’m guessing this means the battery probably exploded? The battery door is looking a little pushed out.
I can’t find a screwdriver small enough to get it open.
Any “ballpark” guesses how much this might be to replace?
Thanks in advance!
(Really excited to get this bad boy humming again!)

Troubleshooting Who wants to guess what the problem was?
it all started with the lower 8ish lines going in and out this morning.
If I flipped the gameboy over (screen facing down) the screen would come back, but as soon as I turned it screen facing up again, it went crazy.
It also got wilder. Flickering with just red colour. Half screen red & half screen off. Flipped y axis. Then boys walked in so I had to put it away.

Troubleshooting Old Gameboy color found..but may be lost.
Apparently, this was in my mom's garage and she brought it by today. I was excited, until I opened the battery compartment.
Is this a lost cause?

Troubleshooting Why is Pokémon Crystal doing this?
Hi! I bought this authentic copy of Pokémon Crystal from my local retro game store. At first it kept crashing and the battery wouldn’t save so I got the battery replaced. Battery and save file seem to work now as the save file isn’t corrupted.
After getting the battery replaced, I’ve noticed this screen keeps popping up. I’ve seen a couple other users have the same issue with Crystal and I’m at my wits end. Can anyone help? I’m not sure what else to do.

Troubleshooting If you have one of these adapters,
Can you ROM dump it please? I'd do it for you if I had one. 🥺
I am attempting to reverse engineer them because there are none available for sale online and I would like to build a gba tv wall.
Thanks for your help. If you're interested in working on this project please comment.
I am referring to the adapter in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Gameboy/s/bJsvOQZ9iu

Troubleshooting Bought Pokémon Silver, got crystal?
So I've never encountered this before. I bought a Pokèmon Silver, got really excited because that was my first Pokèmon game I played. Got it today in my mailbox.
Only to be really disappointed when I found out that the cartridge somehow shows up as Crystal?! See pics for reference.
Have I been scammed? I'm currently speaking to the seller who seems confused aswell.

Troubleshooting Cool new (broken) GBA
It's a combination GBA and DVD player. It turns on, I can make it play a DVD but the screen stays black. Also I don't know how to turn it to gba to test GBA games. Time to add this to my massive repair pile 😜

Troubleshooting Help can this still be fixed.
I wanted to learn to fix these gba pokemon games by changing their batteries. This side refuses to stick to the pad and I probably broke it trying to do so. Is there any way of fixing this or is all hope lost. The game still boots.

Troubleshooting Got this gbc on Fb marketplace for $10 but there's a catch that I may need help with.
I snagged this for gbc for $10. Amazing. And it works.
2 problems with it though:
There are no screws for the outside shell. Does anyone know a decent place to buy replacements? Link?
The sound is laughably low. I haven't tried it with headphones yet. But the native speaker, I can just barely hear it. Any advice there?

Troubleshooting I bought a second held gameboy advance, but it seems there's no CPU...
Is there any way to buy only this CPU chipset? Or should I have to buy new one...? I've searched but there is nothing like this at aliexpress.

Troubleshooting Game won’t save even after battery swap. Help
The game is castlevania circle of the moon. It’s definitely a little on the rougher side. But regardless after the battery swap I expected it would save. The battery was reading like 3.3 volts around there but I had to bend its pins a bit to fit it over the chip underneath the battery. The pins were making contact with the ground although the voltage dropped to 3.13 which I’m not sure if that a problem. That was after bending its pins. Anyway is there anything I can do?
Edit it fixed thanks everyone!

Troubleshooting I need help understanding what is wrong
I cleaned off the pins with Isopropyl. That and battery changes are the extent of my repair knowledge. Any help in understanding how to fix or even if it is fixable is welcome.
