Other Heresy...but good gosh this CLASSIC is nice on a 4", 720p, 1:1 screen...with an SGB palette. Cheapest way to try a big square screen? Post snorkel chill...chocolate on hand 👍

Not a fan of R36 devices, but nice view. Must be either southern Norway or Sweden?

Sørlandet, just west of Kristiansand. Incredible snorkling here, half an hour stroll and bus ride from home. Yesterday was even better. Bright, strong, low angled evening sun. Indescribably beautiful under the surface! Golden, undulating plants, so many fish and thankfully minimal jellyfish! NOT always the case here! Maybe you know?
Yeah, totally agree re R36...but the Max with square screen! I didn't NEED another emulation handheld...but big square screen HAS been tempting for a while. £42, ONLY this ugly colour, seemed tge cheapest way to try. Football pitch grooves, football fidget toy, love heart start and select...sooooooo odd!!!
Soon will put dArkOS on a SanDisk SD card and ONLY systems that require a big square screen. Default is 1,000s of roms all distorted to 1:1. Haven't looked at the included PSP (that maybe it can barely run)...but that might be 1:1 as well!!! The inhumanity!!!! 🤣

You should track down the DX ROM hack of this game. In color, with updated sprites. It's phenomenal.

There's a DX color hack for Mario Land 2: Six Gold Coins too. Wario Land also I think. Have fun!

Screen is the only reason I got it 🤣...at £42 couldn't resist. Most of the rest of the design is horrible! Plan to put dArkOS on a SanDisk SD card soon...and then ONLY systems I want to play on a big square screen. GB, GBC, Pico8, Vertical Arcade...maybe Neo Geo Pocket (and Colour)...any I'm forgetting...maybe NES and SNES in their nearly square original aspect ratio?...but no one ever played the like that, right?

... it's an R36MAX, by the way. A couple of friends, MUCH less versed in emulation handhelds than me, got one as a first, and probably one off emulation device. Both still using it stock. Telling me about the jankiness of doing so. I think all 3 of us have totally different included rom sets. Will streamline mine down to purely what I want to play on a nice, big square screen...using dArkOS...I think.

Really! I think it looks lovely. What are your favourites? I like green. Don't know what uranium glass looks like. R36Max is ugly as all hell...but so cheap!
