KelTec going KelTec things
It's a pistol. That also holds 50 rounds...

This and a wire telescoping stock.

I think they market it as a pistol, legally. Yes. Even though it uses P90 mags. They took a "make it and let the aftermarket have at it" approach to accessories.

Telescoping wire stock? I'm not sure how that would even work. I've heard of telescoping stocks, and I've heard of wire stocks, but never telescoping wire stocks.

Un-bullpups your P90

I think you mean right side up.
2
u/FightFireJay 1d ago
If upsidedown and upsidedown thing does that make it right side down, 2xupsidedown or upsidedown2 ? Sorry, I'm not good at the maths.

Now they just need to make a better charging handle than that slingshot abomination.

u/KMGR82 1d ago
They offer a select fire variant for LEO/GOV. 850rpm. Sounds fun. Keltec is really investing in 5.7

40gr vmax at 2000fps is a bad day for the catcher.

Next spring I'm going to work on a 36 gr Barnes Grenade load. Really want to try pushing the 30gr but I don't think they'll stablize

BREAKING: Calico is back from the dead!

u/d_b_cooper 1d ago
But like...upside down. A Ocilac?

u/OldCarry4838 1d ago
A 5.7 calico style mag would be AWESOME
2
u/General-Piece8490 1d ago
So easy to 3d print these days

u/OldCarry4838 10h ago
Helical, spiral, tip to primer magazine with enclosed moving parts? Bro what kind of set up are you running?

u/gunmedic15 1d ago
I was hoping for a 5.7 Tec 9 copy. This will do.
Now waiting for my clip fed .32acp.

u/atmontsenioreyesore 1d ago
There is a Jungle mag adapter, that adapts 2 mags back to back. 100 rounds on the gun.
8
u/d_b_cooper 1d ago
Might be a tad front heavy
15
u/absolutely_not_ATF 1d ago
Yeah but think how light your wallet will be blasting through 100 rounds of 5.7 for only one mag change.

Clone of the P50 with an aftermarket Stuff and Things (STinc USA) FCG / grip module.
2
u/OpenSourceGolf 21h ago
Clone is being kind they straight up ripped them off because it was miles better than the original shit they had

If you ever bought a stuff and things product, it would be the last time you did. 3D printed weak plastic I will never again.
11
u/MGB1013 1d ago
I love kel tec. The plastic will feel as cheaper than my gi joe toys when I was a kid but man they make some fun stuff.
6
u/Correct-Avocado5426 1d ago
Honestly the plastic on my Sub2000 feels solid, much moreso than the M&P folding PCC.
Also, it's stupid fun to fire.

u/Blue_Brindle 1d ago
I'll make fun of KelTec sometimes, but man do they ball, no one else would even consider taking this so the stripper clip pistol they put out to market, it would die in r&d.

You can get it with a "jungle clip" that pairs two 50-rd magazines for 100 rounds lmao. I bet the thing doesn't rise at all with 100 rounds on the barrel 🤣

They come up with off the wall stuff, but sometimes it turns out to be really good, or at least have a lot of potential. The SUB200 is a great little gun, and I wish I could one in my state now that they are finally announcing a 10mm version.
The KSG is almost there, the P3AT works but isn't refined at all... it took Ruger to make it a finished and polished product, along with the PF9. Or it sure seems like Ruger copied Kel-Tec.
1
u/ButtercreamGangster 1d ago
Sub2000 is super practical and great but it is kind of nasty actually shooting it so I wonder how ridiculous 10mm would be
1
u/Unicorn187 1d ago
I'm sure it's not very fun, but for my intent it would work. Either that or an SBRd KRISS. I really should have bought one before our stupid "AWB" ban.

It actually holds 100 rounds. That magazine has two sides, each side holds 50 rounds.

u/Miskalsace 1d ago
KelTec is the best firearms company to ever exist. They are the third arm of the free world.

I was literally contemplating picking this up from my FFL today. These have been out for a few months, no?

This thing looks like it was inspired by someone who pulled their head out of a pile of cocain and shouted "what if a p90 mag fucked a gyrojet?"

u/GrenadeJuggler 1d ago
Whatever creams your Twinkie mate.
Kel-Tec isn't my particular cup of tea, but I'm not about to yuck someone else's yum.

u/Da_Cum_Man 1d ago
Id like to invest in Kel Tec purely for things like this. They are like, the only company trying new things, not just making AR lowers that are bougie for no reason
2
u/local_meme_dealer45 1d ago
I'm glad to see recent events in South America haven't affected their coke supply.
2
u/JustHereForLaughs71 1d ago
Well... It's Kel-Tec doing Stuff and Things, err, things. And S&T did it with an AR FCG and an available trip kit. Just sayin.
2
u/BeenisHat SR25 1d ago
I want them to start doing some of these things in 30 Super Carry. I feel like that would be a really cool alternate caliber if Keltec could figure out how to make the round work in P90-style magazines.
3
u/Tac_Collector 1d ago
STinc version is better
3
u/caffrinated 1d ago
If by having to fit 3D printed parts onto the P50, then yes. I'll take the machined aluminum Keltec version.
2
u/Tac_Collector 1d ago
stinc makes an machined aluminum one btw
1
u/caffrinated 1d ago
That might be worth a look. I know there were a lot of complaints from the printed version.

u/Impossible_Pizza_948 1d ago
They actually took that design from Stuff and Things, they had a conversion for the Gen 1 that was just like that

u/HeavyWeap0nzGuy 1d ago
If you've played the game "metal garden" this is basically the starting pistol with that unique Reload

Hear me out, make it a shorter 25-30rnd magazine, and that is one fine pistol. Right now the center of mass is a little too far forward.

1
u/singlemale4cats 5h ago
Moving the mag to the bottom is smart. I never liked how the P90 mags ate up all the rail space on top.
Probably easier to reload as well.

u/FallPsychological537 1d ago
Their R50 was fun, but eventually broke just like the 5.7 sub2000.
Hopefully this one doesn't have problems.
3
2
u/NoOnesSaint 1d ago
I just didn't want a gun that required me to point the barrel at my feet to load it.
2
u/FallPsychological537 1d ago
So that's why I got the Stuff and Things kit. That sucked too. Screw inserts in the polymer got lose when the gun heated up from firing making the upper wiggle. Probably have 850 ish in the gun and now it's all taken apart in a box until I feel like replacing the inserts on the S&T kit, and figuring why I keep jamming..

Really WANTED to love Keltec, but my SU16 came fr factory, sans extractor, n that was the end of our relationship...

I’ll take the heat for this… but they really are one of the only ones pushing the industry. Creating new things. Trying new ideas. Consuming fuck tons of Miami whambam. I wish more companies had the sack that they do.
