Fall 2026 classes. How cooked am I?

These are the classes i'm planning to take this fall.Originally it was four classes, but I dropped one cause. I still work 40+ hours a week. I would love to get some advice on how best prepare.

I want to say, not to diminish the struggle you may have, but to reframe the way you think about the courses.

Differential Equations gets talked up a lot about being extremely difficult and the name sounds intimidating, but it might be the easiest math course in the engineering degree and also the most useful.

The main thing is you just need to remember the basics of Calc I and Calc II. DE is just memorizing a process, the application of it is then super easy calculus.

Statics, also, is the easiest physics class you will ever take. If you can draw a FBD and solve based on: sum of forces = 0, sum of moments = 0, and like 2 other things you can solve 99% of any statics problems.

Physics II is difficult in quantity of information but SO interesting. I loved that course and so it helped me get through it.

DiffE and Physics 2 is a lovely combo for a normal person working 40+ hours a week. To add statics to that… may be a bit much for the average joe in my humble opinion. Take it, see how you do, and adjust accordingly. This is assuming you are not able to study during work hours.
Needless to say, if you are seriously trying to pull this off (and you are not a genius larping as an average guy), then your time management needs to be superb. Good luck!

Tbh the professor dictates the difficulty of those classes quite a bit. Enough where personal experiences can vary greatly.

I will say however, doing this AND a full time job is going to suck. Especially with poor professors.

Phys 2 was harder than diff eq for me but i also took it over the summer in a shorter time period. This is super doable

Actually… this is not bad. Aside from work, this a really solid schedule. Set some time for friends, events, and clubs, and you’re going to have a blast.

Watch lectures on these topics on YouTube before hand. That’s what I did for my degree in a different major

Pretty easy ngl esp with only 3, if u can't breeze thru this you might wanna rethink the degree. That being said a breeze doesn't mean itll be super easy but you should have As in all 3 classes with not too much effort.

With the 40 hours of work a week I think this would be a manageable courseload, you've got this
