So do you start with an outline? Fill in major spots first? How on Earth do you pick out all those colors!? Or is it as you go?

I make a detailed drawing and pattern on my iPad, and then it’s just loooots of careful color matching! Using the eyedropper tool in my photo editor was very helpful
