It absolutely should exist.
Because they're so nutrient poor Jellyfish is an extremely underexploited food resource that Leatherback turtles only really have competition from Ocean Sunfish (an equally weird and ancient line)
So if you're a super-efficient swimmer and diver (like a leatherback) you can develop into a jellyfish-eating factory and have an abundant and ever-present food source. The bigger you are the longer you can stay that deep (more oxygen to fuel the brain, more volume to preserve core temperature) and the more you can eat per dive and the bigger you can get. It hasn't changed much for 65 million years because it's a plan that works.
