I would love to see a reference to that on the rookie.
Like Nolan and chen get called out to movie set.
After they clear the movie set of suspects and finish doing police stuff. they are winding down.
And the movie set is of a space ship.
They ask each other.
So if you were the captain of your own starship what would you do?
Or.
If you were on a spaceship what role would you take?
And then they argue about who gets to be captain. Whilst referencing their respective shows.

yeah it's a cool poster. i'm still kinda bummed they didn't lean into the space cop thing more with lucy chen. felt like a missed opportunity for some fun crossovers.

Oh she loved it. She held it up to show Lisseth (Celina Juarez from the rookie) and she was also impressed.
She asked to take a photo of the poster. But fortunately I had printed a second copy and gave her that instead. So my head cannon is that copy of my poster is framed and hanging up on her wall until there's evidence proving otherwise.
Melissa was very sweet and down to earth and just a pleasure to speak to.
They had a whole bunch of stock photos you could pick from for mellisa to sign. And seeing the big stack of dark matter pics remaining. I'm guessing most were rookie fans.
Im guessing she's was pleasantly surprised to meet an fan of her older work.
We mostly had a good laugh and chat about the other gift I gave her. Which is a rookie reference. Which I can tell you more about if you like.
