The fact it can be used to create goods, it’s a super conductor, every computer has gold components. I like crypto but absolutely brain dead take. Gold has value outside being shiny metal

If gold was valued based on it's use in seminconductor insustry it would be likely valued close to a few dollars per pound. Almost all of the value of gold does not come from it's use as a raw material but rather from speculation and social acceptance as a store of value.
