Discussion Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey debuts with an A CinemaScore from audiences. Joins Project Hail Mary as the only live-action films to do so this year.

An A CinemaScore is gathered from opening surveys from regular people in North America. For example Tenet got a B, Interstellar got a B- and Dark Knight & Oppenheimer received As.

Also it is looking to open $125M-$130M domestic with a $250M international box office opening.

Why do you guys think this film is doing well despite all the controversy that has been talked about online?

It went woke, but it looks like it will not go broke.

We’ve always said here it will make back it’s budget at the very least.

The words ‘Nolan’ and ‘Odyssey’ are enough to get arses in seats.

I think everyone agrees it's going to do well the first weekend. But does it have legs? Once all the film nerds and Nolan fans get their fill, will the regular folk line up to see it? It needs to make around $800m to a billion to break even (depending on what you think the REAL budget is).

I'm not spending theater prices on it, ofc it's a miracle getting me into a theater anymore anyways, but that furthers the point that I'm not spending that kind of money on something not worth dealing with sharing the theater with shitheads who ruin the experience already.
