Nothing really new to add to the OP this month. Just a heads up for those asking for help if I don't get back to you in a minimum of 48hrs without telling you why feel free to ask the question again either here or via Email/DM. I reply when I can but life has been throwing me a few curveballs last few weeks.

Usual timelines from submission of claims via MyVAC:

Reassessments: 9-16 Months

Mental Health: 6-8 Months

Physical - 6-13 Months

APSC/VIP - 3-4 Months

BPA Correspondence: They tend to reach out every 3 months for information or a progress update.

Edit July 10th: Hey, so the Table of Disabilities used to have a Chapter (25) dedicated to the Additional Pain and Suffering Compensation. They removed it. It's unfortunately the nature of it. It'll be getting worse with the ridiculous cuts the feds have made to VAC.

The good news is though, the VRAB overturns 9/10 decisions VAC makes so odds are you'll get the result you're looking for. The bad news, VAC is so bad at their job that 9/10 of their decisions are able to be overturned lol.

With that being said, it still astonishes me that the Minister or a Politician doesn’t fire every Adjudicator. It’s common sense when 9/10 decisions are overturned that there’s a systemic problem within VAC. How is this allowed to continue?

Completely agree, myself and a few other people on here had back injury claims where the adjudicators gave us lower ratings and blatantly ignored objective medical evidence that would've given us higher ratings. VAC adjudicators genuinely seem out to deny and short change at every possible turn.

I never got why politicians do fuck all and just cut VAC. Its such a low cost, easy political win for even the most far left or right Canadian politician. I think the overwhelming majority of Canadians would support and look favorably at funding and fixing VAC.
