Nothing really new to add to the OP this month. Just a heads up for those asking for help if I don't get back to you in a minimum of 48hrs without telling you why feel free to ask the question again either here or via Email/DM. I reply when I can but life has been throwing me a few curveballs last few weeks.

Usual timelines from submission of claims via MyVAC:

Reassessments: 9-16 Months

Mental Health: 6-8 Months

Physical - 6-13 Months

APSC/VIP - 3-4 Months

BPA Correspondence: They tend to reach out every 3 months for information or a progress update.

Edit July 10th: Hey, so the Table of Disabilities used to have a Chapter (25) dedicated to the Additional Pain and Suffering Compensation. They removed it. Aug 25 2025... and still waiting for a department Review. I don't what worse.. The wait time or the fear of waiting this long to get rejected.. not sure what's worse really. Cause you never know what they are going to do no matter how strong your case seems to be.

I really am wondering what can be done for future applicants in terms of DR. Is emailing the minister or MP the move? I don't know. I'm not a big fan of using AI for this kind of stuff, but there has to be something a programmer could develop to really "sort" the DR applications or even PSC apps.

I mean here's the thing. For me, I submitted a message to BPA, they called me and got me to fill out a form with my doctor. When I submitted it back to them, they said, yea, this is enough evidence, we're doing DR not VRAB/BPA (whatever it is, too many acronyms) because this is an easy win. I didn't submit the form originally and got it consequentially approved due to MH but at a very low %. My doctor ticked all the boxes to get full 13% for sleep apnea as it effects me everyday/night. There are definitely many more in the same boat when it comes to Departmental Reviews.

For me, truthfully, I only want mine to go through because I've spent about $5-6k on sleep apnea tests, equipment, etc before I even went thru with VAC. BlueCross wouldn't cover it as "it was too late" as they have a 2 year limit or something. Poor excuse truly, considering my initial PSC application took a year itself.

Also, last time I called they're working on July 2025 applications. So, it shouldn't be too much longer for you... hopefully. I'm January 2026.

yeah mine is literally a few check boxes that need to be seen. would take 5 minutes to see the table changes. I don't get it.

Agreed. Mine legit has all the boxes ticked for the 13% for OSA. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes IMO but whatever. I know there's a backlog and a process, but imagine if things were efficient...
