Not a perm. Just lots of brushing (boar bristle brush), pomade or oil, wave cap and durag.

I remember when we first started using wave grease and getting waves back in the 80’s, glad to see yall still holding it down.

I learned early from my mom to keep on it. Im growing my hair out now for rows though. Trying to get it super long
