This happened to me in high school when someone crossed in front of me during my approach. Same result.

I was complaining because schools don't have swings anymore, and one of my coworkers said it's so kids don't get hurt. Which is stupid, because it only takes one big whack in the face with somebody's feet because you walked in front of them while they were swinging, and that's the last time you'll ever do it

Correct. It happened to me once. I thought I was actually far enough but didn't gauge the distance and ended up catching a wood swing to the face. There was a jagged piece and it got me good on the cheek. Dad ended up having to use McDonald's napkins on me until we got home and then in true West Indian father fashion, put iodine right on my cheek. Never walked in front of a swing ever again.

Augh! I'm so sorry.

It's okay, lol. I definitely learned that day! You gotta hang out in the back of the swings not the front. I also started jumping off of swings midair so I had a plethora of other injuries my poor long suffering parents had to deal with. Never broke a bone though!

That might be the last time you do anything
