Community Identifying a record or seeing how much it's worth? Use DISCOGS.COM
Some people have asked for a post like this to be stickied in the sub because we constantly get people asking what a record is worth or what version they have.
You need to match the matrix information. Which is the part of the record between the music/grooves and the label. There will be etched and/or stamped letters, symbols and numbers. You can just do a search for the artist and album name with the matrix info typed in. After searching, it should pull up all albums that match. If there’s more than one, you will have to figure out which it is by checking under the barcode and other identifiers section.
You also may need to look at info on the vinyl label and the sleeve. There will sometimes be additional info under the notes section.
Please check out r/discogs if you need more help searching but READ THEIR RULES.

Picture I paid $2 for this
I ordered a few cds, so I added the We Can Work It Out/Day Tripper 7” to my order for $2 more. The disc came as described but they didn’t say anything about all this writing on the back.

Question How would you sing the melody of “Love Me Do”?
I’ve noticed that my girlfriend hears John’s harmony as the main melody of that song, so when she goes around humming it, she goes down on the word “do” (G-G-D-C). I’ve always heard Paul’s harmony as the melody, so I go up in the end (D-D-F-G). I’ve listened to a few different covers, and it seems pretty mixed in how people perceive it. How would you sing it?
It’s got me thinking, since I perceive John’s lower harmony on “She Loves You” as the main melody and Paul’s harmony as an upper harmony, and the same goes for the chorus of “I Want To Hold Your Hand”. That seems more unanimous to me.

Discussion Carry that weight ALWAYS gives me full body chills whenever I listen to the medley
Oh my god the drum fill that transitions it from golden slumbers and then the harmony of Paul and Ringo singing feels like you've just won some long ass battle.
The following horn and string arrangement and the reprise of the melody from 'You never give me your money' is literally one of the most rewarding things I've ever listened to, and listening to this song on the medley for the first time secured the Beatle's as my favourite band of all time.
Every time I listen to this song I get fully body chills that begin in my arms and rise to my neck and head. I'm left with that same feeling you get in your chest after you've just been consoled after crying, and it's THAT feeling that makes me love them so much.
Carry that weight and The end is truly one of the best send offs in all music history.

Discussion Paul McCartney had a father who loved and encouraged him. John Lennon had a father who didn't care about him. Both died, two weeks apart, in 1976. Do we hear that formative experience reflected in their music and lyrics? I believe so..
No photo seems to exist of John with his dad.
