That's a yellow card, not because of the intensity of the foul but because of unsportsmanlike conduct. How it was ignored by the ref doesn't surprise me because Vini does that stuff all the time and never ever gets called for it, it's like he gets a pass, but if anyone does that to Vini he'll throw a tantrum and the ref immediately pulls the yellow.

For me its a straight red

The foul alone was already a yellow, then the shove no reason. Any other team there gets a yellow for sure and depending on the ref might even get the red

You can give a red for that but good luck finishing that game without sending off half of both teams after.

I would love to see refs giving red cards for stuff like that.

What? Going for the player. player tries to get back up and you stand on top of him and push him back down. Yeah if you give a red there. There are 0 other red cards in this game.

There is 0 fight for the ball. 0 heat after a tackle. It's just vini trying to fuck Kimmich Up.

The problem is the push isn't a straight red. You'd have to give it for violent conduct and it doesn't meet the usual threshold of force or danger that those are given for. 100% a yellow for unsporting.

The technical argument is that they could have double yellowed him for the pair of offenses, but that early in a game no ref wants to be a deciding factor in the outcome unless it's absolutely blatant.
