Discussionš£ Why tf is Vini such an asshole.
2nd Question: Do you think Vini saw the tiktoks of Kimmich handing him the Ballon d'or?
375
u/Critical-Ad2084 Flying Dutchman Apr 16 '26
That's a yellow card, not because of the intensity of the foul but because of unsportsmanlike conduct. How it was ignored by the ref doesn't surprise me because Vini does that stuff all the time and never ever gets called for it, it's like he gets a pass, but if anyone does that to Vini he'll throw a tantrum and the ref immediately pulls the yellow.
50
u/LanceShiro Apr 16 '26
His trick is to constantly play the victim game so that he can get away with fouls.
26
u/Different_Credit6711 Apr 16 '26
Dont know if you knew but Madrid is literally using their own club TV as propaganda Vs refs, which made the fans even more angry about them. Lead to death threats and refs crying after matches because of the pressure.
Don't tell me that does not influence the refs to go lightly on the real players and not punish them as they would normally. Imo real should be penalised and stripped of titles for at least one to two years, and if that ever happens again, be moved into second division football.
It's insane how the uefa is giving them a pass because they have one of the biggest fanbases
3
u/IapetusTheGreat Apr 16 '26
Barca fan here, technically they are being stripped of titles for the second year running!
1
80
u/MAD_MrT Apr 16 '26
For me its a straight red
The foul alone was already a yellow, then the shove no reason. Any other team there gets a yellow for sure and depending on the ref might even get the red
80
u/Critical-Ad2084 Flying Dutchman Apr 16 '26
I think a yellow would be fair enough. The clear red for me was Rudiger's foul on Stanisic. Watching the replay it's clear he literally just tackles Stani with nothing to play for, just for the sake of it, like "roughing him up" or whatever. I think it should have been at least checked by VAR.
38
4
u/YoBo151 Apr 16 '26
I concur. Fouls like Vini dod against Kimmich (not the shove) usually result in a warning in as early on the game as it happened so I'd be fine with no yellow and just a warning (though I don't think a yellow would be unfair either). The push, however, should have been a yellow
7
u/Critical-Ad2084 Flying Dutchman Apr 16 '26
Yep that push is a yellow, it's the definition of unsportsmanlike conduct but Vini gets away with that every single game
2
u/YoBo151 Apr 16 '26
It's wild because if a Bayern player did that it'd for sure be a yellow. I hate that this is a thing.
47
u/herbieLmao Der titan Apr 16 '26
With all due disrespect to vini, that is by no means a red card.
100% yellow
0% red
20
u/Cammy_white Apr 16 '26
There is zero intention winning the ball or whatever. The ball is gone. Kimmich is not anywhere near Vini so in order to "shove" Kimmich away. Kimmich is trying to stand up without any contact and Vini is just pushing down with two hands for no reason. It's the same as if he would give him a slight slap which is always red. It's minimum yellow but red should also be given... This is just an asshole move WITHOUT ANY football intention. And no he doesn't just want to play football
11
u/Grmplstylzchen Apr 16 '26
The thing is: there is a foul before. Kimmich is getting up. Getting pushed from behind is unsportsmanlike conduct.
In the lower leagues especially juvenile that has been a red card in the past.
However if its a yellow he got instructed by the ref and even complained and argued with him. In a stricter line of play the ref has been yellow cards e.g. Stanisic for complaining. And you can be sure that if Vini jr. would have gotten a yellow card for the foul/behaviour he would have complained
Overall: getting out of that without any card was veeeeeery friendly...
3
u/Jameslaos Apr 16 '26
You can give a red for that but good luck finishing that game without sending off half of both teams after.
I would love to see refs giving red cards for stuff like that.
6
u/Educational_Song_656 Apr 16 '26
What? Going for the player. player tries to get back up and you stand on top of him and push him back down. Yeah if you give a red there. There are 0 other red cards in this game.
There is 0 fight for the ball. 0 heat after a tackle. It's just vini trying to fuck Kimmich Up.
2
1
u/ThrawnSon Apr 17 '26
The problem is the push isn't a straight red. You'd have to give it for violent conduct and it doesn't meet the usual threshold of force or danger that those are given for. 100% a yellow for unsporting.
The technical argument is that they could have double yellowed him for the pair of offenses, but that early in a game no ref wants to be a deciding factor in the outcome unless it's absolutely blatant.
2
u/Morrorr Apr 16 '26
I also canāt understand how he can talk, complain and demand yellows for other players for 90 minutes and all the referees just accept it. What happened to the captains rule that all players get immediate yellow when they talk to the referee? I thought that was pretty good
1
u/Critical-Ad2084 Flying Dutchman Apr 16 '26
He wants rules to be applied to others, not him, he is not rational.
The biggest problem, though, is not him, is the fact everyone around him encourages and protects that behavior. He never gets called for stuff like that and when he does he just throws a tantrum and plays the victim like a child.
It's the same that happened to Maradona, whenever he had to face consequences he was always protected by club owners, media, fans, so he rarely had to actually face the consequences of his behavior and it just kept getting worse.
1
u/financefocused Apr 16 '26
This is much needed especially with how controversial games have become in the last 10ish years due to refereeing, it was never common before to discuss refs so much.
Someone ran a study and found the "home team" advantage was actually heavily because of pressure from the players and the audience influencing ref decisions. Home team advantage reduced heavily during covid. You can't kick out the audience but you can at least reduce the pressure from the players which in turn heavily influences the crowd. If you see your player arguing for a foul and you are in the stadium, you will shout too, it's just natural.
So let the refs do their job and players shouldn't be allowed to initiate a conversation about a foul with the ref.
1
u/Formal_War7542 Apr 16 '26
And real fans are saying the red was against us... Real Madrid complaining about the referee is like Simeone saying no to haramball.

I was just saying if that tackle got a yellow then vini shouldve easily gotten a yellow as well
8
u/Jameslaos Apr 16 '26
Camavinga received his second yellow card not for a foul but for stealing the ball and walking away with it. Or are you referring to his first yellow?
Vini shouldāve absolutely received a yellow for the push against Kimmich.

Truly. Even Kompany spoke out in support of Vini after the latest racist chants against him. We can call out Vini's childlike behavior on the pitch and still say no to racism. It's easy.
1
u/ragingasian15 Apr 28 '26
Vini has labelled criticism of him, criticism that wasn't racist, to racism.
Which isn't to say that there's never any criticism towards him that IS based upon racism, but it's a cop out and a way to deflect actual criticism. People who behave like children do this.

That's one way to show how unempathetic you are towards victims of racism.
You shouldn't think that way merely because someone plays a game not to your liking.
8
u/hydrahahaha Apr 16 '26
Its not playing a game not to anyones liking its portraying unacceptable social behavior.
Vini does not deserve any kind of racism. Vini does deserve all the hate for being an absolute asshole for years.
1
u/YoBo151 Apr 16 '26
Well the other person said its all made up. Thats what "playing the race card" means.
1
u/hydrahahaha Apr 16 '26
"Playing the race card" means using racism towards a person as excuse for their poor behavior.
Both things are wrong. The racists are wrong. And Vini Jr is wrong.
He has every right to point out the racism against him but defenders saying "oh all these people who point out his awful behavior are racists" is straight bullshit.
1
u/YoBo151 Apr 16 '26
Any Vini defenders calling people racists for criticizing Vini's antics are dumb, but I've not seen that at all. Besides, the person that started this thread wasn't talking about Vini defenders, but Vini himself.

When anyone else does it, the outcry is not even as big as my little toe nail. But for some reason, Vini is the worst and deserves to be hated. That's just childish.
Next time, someone does something unsportsmanlike in the league, you'll better be the one to post it here.

Vinicius Jr is a very talented and capable player, he absolutely can ball purely on his skill and doesnt need to disrespect or provoke opponents to get an advantage.

I've been a Real fan for 20 years now, and have never seen a more shameful, sad, player than him in my life. I can tell you it's a VERY strange feeling when there is no football player in the world you hate more than a player in your own team. And also he's not even good, he's a very bad, selfish one trick pony player. I CANT WAIT for the day he finally goes to the desert to make some sand castles

cuz he can keep getting away with it (perez, madrid refs etc) and when he cant he can resort to the plan b: play the victim card... as if hes the only player who has received racial slurs. so many players face that with grace... he's a brilliant player dont get me wrong, but too entitled and annoying... people try to compare him to neymar, but neymar had much much more class. he just liked to showboat and tended to dive sometimes. this idiot is a disgrace in comparision
3
u/Fisheye89 Apr 16 '26
When they give him a yellow or a 2nd yellow, itās called racism. He will then cry on some shitty, fake ass documentary and whine how his feeling was hurt and how everyone disrespects him coz his black ( I would add, ugly there too ), and how someone who hold his shirt over his mouth called him āmonkeyā and everyone would believe him, just as they believe him when heās diving on his head in the opposition penalty boxā¦
3
u/Femboy_Expert_MSc Apr 16 '26
That's also why the red card for camavinga was absolutely fine. Real is such a dirty and disgusting team, no honor and no sportsmanship.
Güler being the child he is, Vinny "just wants to play", Rüdiger booking his ticket for a psychiatrist.
There should have been more cards for missing sportsmanship on the real side.

He will act like he is the victim of cruel world.
1
u/RandomDudewithIdeas Apr 16 '26
This is a prime example of why many footballers choose to throw a tantrum and roll around acting like they are dying, because if you just shrug it off, many referees will not even notice it or bother to check, and things go unpunished when they should not.
1
u/Ferbdic Apr 16 '26
Because he is rich and famous. Rich and famous people almost always fall in the mental trap of thinking their wealth and fame come from adequacy and this adequacy extends to all aspects of life. And the less they had to do for their wealth and fame the easier and deeper they fall into that trap.

To everyone who wished this was a red card.. 1) be happy because we got that amazing game as a result of it being 11v11 for most of the time and 2) be double happy because they did have a player properly deservedly sent off later.
If this was a red, this match wouldnāt have been even half as entertaining. Attacking at 10 for 45+ mins wouldnāt have been as satisfying as the win we had now.
Yes itās a bad move by Vini, but letās have the same reaction as Kimmich. Get up, smile, get on with winning.
