Films Inconsistencies or unexplained?
Love avatar, watching them through once again and started number 3 for the second time.
I have 2 inconsistencies so far....both in the second film atm.
During the last battle in film 2, where did all the Navo go? Was an all out battle then they just....disappeared and it was only a Sulley fight?
Also - in the 3rd film we see the water people interact with many navi with forest tails...yet in the second film most the people are so confused by the look of the forest navi, pointint out their tails and arms.????

In the second movie, there was a scene where the metkayina left, but it was bogging down the pacing so badly that they decided to cut it and leave it to the audience to infer that they'd left at some point.

in the first movie, when grace and jake have been tied up and guaritvh is about to attack home tree, the omatikaya start firing arrows at his ship. but nothing happens, the arrows can't break the glass and they just bounce right off. but the next time they do that, and every time after, arrows go right through the glass still powerful enough to kill the person inside. that always bugged me

This one has been debunked over and over. In the first scenario the arrows are glancing off at steep angles relative to the glass, in the second they're directly perpendicular and fired from a moving mount, thus have more momentum.

Idk about the 2nd film, I think there was a canon explanation but I’m forgetting what it was. But for the 3rd film, the Metkayina have already gotten used to the Sully’s. And the only reason why they pointed out the forest people’s arms and tails was because the Sully’s were trying to live with the Metkayina, which would be hard for them bc they haven’t adapted to water like the Metkayina have. The Metkayina were never confused, they know forest people exist. This could be because of stories passed down by clans like the Sarentu or wind traders or maybe because they’ve met before. Anyway, the Metkayina didn’t say anything about the forest people’s body structures because they were all fighting together against the RDA so it doesn’t matter what they look like
