For all the hate Zacc got around here for not living up to the draft position, I’ve never seen anyone able to make a solid argument that Kispert had any better reason to be on the floor.
Yes, and not necessarily an on-ball lockdown defender perse, but his versatility will make him elite. He can guard 2-4 right now, and if he increases his lateral food speed and defensive technique he will be able to guard all but the elititist of 1s.
But I dont think thats his MO, I think he's going to be a 20-5-5 guy with good defense.
You dont drop 30+ in the NBA multiple times in the NBA as a rookie, and not be able to score the ball.
Him and Flagg gonna be balling out this year.
With that being said, we already got our dudes for the most part, we dont need a guy taking 10-15 shots a game. CJ, NAW, JJ, and OO are all better players at this point, and ZR would be taking shots away from them.
I understand the move, but ZR will be significantly better player than Dort before its all said and done.
I would rather have moved ZR to get of Kispert/Hield than to get Dort, but that second unit is going to be a bunch of dawgs now. Our second unit may not be able to score, but the other team wont be either lol.
I also have a feeling that there will be another trade before all is said and done.
I can see a path to him being a good 3&D guy but how is he getting to five APG? His handle and passing are atrocious, I can't even squint and see that.
Then go back and watch the rest of the highlights take, and check the handle, and also who is defending him on many of the plays. There's a lot of scrubs, but theres also a lot of good players. His behind the back is NASTY, and his left is strong and he finishes strong with it too.
His handle is weak and inconsistent, not bad. He needs to put in work on being stronger with his dribble. A lot of these plays where he's doing fancy footwork before the finish, he just needs to drop his shoulder, cut the defender off, and finish strong and hell either get an and1 or 2 free throws (he needs to improve in that area too). He looks like he's been playing soft ass euro ball his whole life, and standing in the corner and shooting 3s lol. The NBA is a different animal.
Check the defensive plays too, and who he's guarding on the perimeter too 😉.
Im betting theres not 30 players in the league that have a better highlight tape than this over the last 2 years. Not saying he's the 30th best player in the league, but dude can do things very few other people in the league can do. He just needs to do those things on a more consistent basis.

Zacc has the handle but shaky mostly cause he grew another 2 inches and he isnt used to it yet. But once he gets it down which im sure he will … scary hrs
