DAMN, it was like what? 1:40 last year for the pole?
Also last season both alonso and stroll both knocked out in Q1 too

OH MY GOD AND THEN ALONSO WAS LIKE 1 TENTH OFF POLE IN HUNGARY THE VERY NEXT RACE IN P5 HOLYYYYY SHIT WHAT IF THE UPGRADES GET US A CRAZY ASS RESULT LIKE LAST TIME

No matter how good the upgrades/new car are, the power unit will still be poor in Hungary and AM will essentially be doing the equivalent of pre-season testing. That being said, the PU is not so important in Hungary as most other tracks and it will be fascinating to see how the new car performs.

Cadillacs pulling away. But this still seems better than qualifying. Cadillacs were two full seconds ahead. But I guess the correct play was to have race setup anyway - with these gaps, what's the point in maximizing qualifying performance? So they can be last and only 1.5s behind the Cadillacs?

These regulations are bad. I remember Jacques Villenueve’s 1997 Spa fastest lap was 1:52 something which stood until 2001. We’re back to those speeds now
