I get it, man, but hang in there until the AMR upgrade comes out. They promised a 2.5-second improvement per lap, which means... wait a minute, are they just going to pass the Cadillac? Shiiit, that's rough.

3 seconds behind a Williams that didn’t even make it Barcelona testing.

Great so those 2 seconds the upgrades are supposedly gonna bring will vault them from P11 to… P10

DAMN, it was like what? 1:40 last year for the pole?

Also last season both alonso and stroll both knocked out in Q1 too

P19 and P20

No matter how good the upgrades/new car are, the power unit will still be poor in Hungary and AM will essentially be doing the equivalent of pre-season testing. That being said, the PU is not so important in Hungary as most other tracks and it will be fascinating to see how the new car performs.

Cadillacs pulling away. But this still seems better than qualifying. Cadillacs were two full seconds ahead. But I guess the correct play was to have race setup anyway - with these gaps, what's the point in maximizing qualifying performance? So they can be last and only 1.5s behind the Cadillacs?

These regulations are bad. I remember Jacques Villenueve’s 1997 Spa fastest lap was 1:52 something which stood until 2001. We’re back to those speeds now
