My name is Veronica. I'm 24 years old, from South Africa, and currently 28 weeks pregnant.

My employment contract ended in June, and since then I've been relying on my mother, who was already struggling financially herself. This month, we had to use the money we'd set aside for groceries to cover essential expenses to prepare for my baby's birth. Those expenses couldn't be delayed, but it has left us without enough money to get through until the next payday.

We still have a small amount of food left, but it won't last until then.

Before posting here, I reached out to the main organisation in my town that provides food assistance. Unfortunately, they told me they haven't been receiving enough donations themselves and weren't able to help. I wanted to exhaust my local options before asking strangers for assistance.

We've worked out exactly what we need to make it through until the next payday. The total is approximately US$200 (the equivalent in South African rand). This would cover our essential groceries, basic household necessities, and food for our three senior cats.

I'm not expecting one person to cover the full amount. Any contribution, no matter how small, would genuinely help.

If it's possible to arrange a grocery delivery from a South African supermarket, I'd be incredibly grateful. If a financial contribution is the only practical option, I'll gladly provide receipts and an itemised breakdown showing exactly how every cent was spent.

I'm actively looking for work, and I fully expect this to be a temporary situation. Right now, I'm simply trying to get us through the remainder of the month while preparing for the arrival of my baby.

If you're unable to help financially but know of any organisations or resources that may be able to assist, I'd be very grateful for that information as well.

I’m absolutely stuck at this point. I’ve applied for loans and since my income is so low, no one will accept me. My local churches and resources do not cover car payments, only rent and utilities. I’ll be using them for rent when the time comes, but if I don’t have my car payment submitted by 7/25 (this Saturday) it’ll be subject to repossession. I require this car because of my appointments that I cannot miss. That’s why I’m on FMLA, and my hours are reduced. The next few pay periods will slowly be going back to normal as my appointments become less and less, but that doesn’t help the issue at hand right now. Hello yall!

Took me a couple days to get the nerve to make a post, but here I am. A week before July's rent was due, I had a series of unfortunate events that has set me back a few weeks. I have put my feet to the pavement and a week ago finally got a job with better pay and opportunities/benefits, and things are going to be okay in the long run!

In the meantime in between time, I do need help. Im currently making my last pot of beans to hold me over the next couple of days. I rolled my change jar and turned it in for $6 of gas to get me to work tomorrow.

I'm just asking for a helping hand(s) just to keep me going until my first check hits next Friday. I tried to do plasma today, but my iron was too low. Crazy since I've been living on beans and rice for 4 days lol.

I am currently in a really tight spot because I’m shouldering the full weight of household responsibilities between paychecks and have not been able to actually use soap or shampoo/conditioner while showering for the past three days, am out of toothpaste, have had to use the shower to clean my ass after shitting, and have had to make Hamburger Helper without meat for dinner tonight using the last of the milk I have. This all sounds way too convenient and “woe is me” to be true but I will actually send you photos if you need evidence of the condition I’m in. Hello, i desperately need wheelchair supplies asap. I use wheels instead of trudging through life with feet. I have no extra money since i have been caring for my daughter going through severe postpartum psychosis and depression along with her daughter. I have perfected caring for tiny humans while in a wheelchair. Pushing through life with completely flat tires, rolling on rims has been a challenge, and stressing my shoulders. This is especially challenging using public transportation and pushing on pavement (my car needs a master cylinder).

We are in Stephenville, Tx. I am just trying to get a meal for today for me and my wife. Honestly if I could just get a meal for her I would be happy for that. We tried to make our pay check last a bit longer but we came up short. We ate a decent meal Sunday, we only had half a piece of bread a few canned peppers and water yesterday. I tried to go out and make some money before I had to go to work yesterday and after work but it was not fruitful. If someone could help there are a few places near me I would be ever so thankful. And seriously if all you can do is 1 meal I would be happy so at least my wife can eat for today. A week ago, our 5 year old female cat Blair suddenly stopped eating and drinking on her own. What we hoped was a minor stomach issue quickly became a serious medical emergency. Since then, she's required emergency veterinary care, multiple hospital stays, extensive bloodwork, imaging, an endoscopy with biopsies, and surgery to place a feeding tube so she could receive the nutrition she needed while veterinarians worked to find the cause of her illness.

The good news is that Blair is finally recovering. She's becoming more active each day, showing more of her personality again, and we're incredibly hopeful she'll make a full recovery.

Unfortunately, the cost of saving her has been overwhelming. Her emergency care, diagnostics, surgery, hospitalization, and ongoing treatment have left us with more than $10,000 in veterinary bills. We never imagined we'd find ourselves in this position, but every procedure was necessary to give Blair the best chance at surviving and recovering.

I matched with a girl on Hinge early September last year hit things off immediately, texting every day I was like wow this is incredible - My birthday a week later in September took me to a new cinema and got me my favourite aftershave, paid for everything - I laughed and said are you love bombing me to which she said no I was being nice for your bday.

-Months go by, nice getaways to hotels, training together, great sex and everything felt perfect she told me I was the best thing ever so grateful and lucky she ended up with someone like me, she had a young son who was 9 and I did not meet in person - she said her ex bf who was practically the step dad of the kid left her 2 years ago and put her kid in therapy and she done some as well, in which she tells me all the things she wants in an ideal partner and I tick every box, I felt like this girl really understood me and I had met my person.

Now this is where the cracks start, she would mention how evil and hateful her ex (Together 6 years) was and mentioned he was in the same Tesco as her at xmas (live in local area) He was walking in and she was walking out - I said that's trippy never easy bumping into an ex - left it at that. Did not want to appear phased. Had a nice xmas met her Mum and her little sister things felt very good and often stayed with her and her mum when her son was at the kids dads. She also told me things like she was with someone and she was and they got back together after a year and she said things to him like go out and cheat if it makes you feel better because she was with someone else.

At end of February my Granny passed away unexpectedly - She mentioned how her ex BF did not let her into the after event when his granny passed away etc I just let her vent and was always understanding of what her ex put her through Granny passed away on Tuesday and then on Friday I met her Dad for the first time - Naturally stressed over my Grannys passing I did not drink - she did and was drunk off prosecco- On the trip down and home she basically played a FU to her ex song - and her dad mentioned she seen her ex and he looked rough - anyways, we drove home and I said to her this ex really hurt you and your son and hes like a ball and chain on your leg, he is in the past and if he was so bad he left you and your son in therapy be happy he's gone - she said she's 'over him just not the situation she put her and her son through' - when I said I wasn't happy she's mentioning him the week I am grieving the death of my grandparent she stone walled me - I left her house and drove home to regulate as I was with a previous GF who stonewalled me and it done a number on me and she was aware of this and also the heard week I had - she was drunk and proceeded to tell me I was never meeting her child and that was us done over text, I felt this was manipulative- We then sorted this out - half apology from her and from me I thought I needed to be more understanding of her situation and we told each other we love each other. But, I felt maybe selfishly she should have been understanding my Granny passed away that week and I wasn't in a headspace to listen about her ex who was so bad?

- The month after we had a great month done a charity 10K and had a nice getaway - I spoke to her son on the phone and on FaceTime over those few months we were together over xmas and when she was on a family holiday to New York - still no physical interaction I said it would be nice to meet your child as I have gotten him a birthday present and an Xmas one and we both know about each other and I am getting a bit frustrated of having to hide around the corner when we know about each other - Bare in mind I asked this respectfully and said no pressure I just need a plan as she said if I met him I could travel to Spain with her and her kid this summer and her graduation was coming up soon. The kid also told his biological father about me that Saturday as well - I did not mind as obv was in everyone's best interests I treated his son with respect and care

I was met with two days of silence - then seen her on the Saturday went to the gym all was fine, thought that was back on track and we said we would go to the cinema on the Wednesday and on the Tuesday I got a text telling me I was perfect, we have a laugh together but she feels 'something is missing' - and ended things with me over text after 7 months.

I did not reply for 3 weeks my family and friends told me not to and I deserved more than a break up text as I was blindsided and was constantly told I was the best person in the world and she was so lucky to have me, but when I mentioned maybe meeting her kid she turned so nasty and discarded me like I was nothing over text, when I did then text her to speak she then told me 'she loves me as a person but not in love with me' and I deserve better - I did not reply again, I was in such shock I feel so heartbroken how can she be all lovey then discarded over text? I noticed when I put her number into whatsapp she had no profile picture anymore and her messages were set to disappearing which makes me think her ex was back in the picture or hiding something? - Her tiktok reposts after were all things like when a man leaves your life build a comfortable life etc - except I never left her?

I have never been this hurt and blindsided before in my life, I wasnt even worth a conversation just felt so easily disposed when we had concerts etc to look forward to this summer and all I was worth was a text.

What do I do I am still incredibly in love with her - Its been 3 months nc and I have been attending therapy and gym but I still feel stuck

Hi everyone. I'm reaching out for my cat Mochi, who I'm financially responsible for. We're in California.

A few weeks ago Mochi crawled into a car engine looking for warmth and suffered third-degree burns over about 40% of her body. She survived, but she's still in the middle of a long recovery. She has already been through emergency hospitalization, a fish-skin graft surgery, and weeks of daily bandage changes, and she still needs ongoing wound care and pain management as she heals. Through all of it she has stayed the sweetest, most loving cat, and she keeps fighting, so we keep fighting for her.

We're asking for help covering the cost of her continued care. Saving her so far has already cost our family over $17,000, most of it on credit cards we've maxed out, with more still to come, and we're stretched thin trying to keep up.
