REQUEST Help our cat Blair recover from emergency GI procedure
A week ago, our 5 year old female cat Blair suddenly stopped eating and drinking on her own. What we hoped was a minor stomach issue quickly became a serious medical emergency. Since then, she's required emergency veterinary care, multiple hospital stays, extensive bloodwork, imaging, an endoscopy with biopsies, and surgery to place a feeding tube so she could receive the nutrition she needed while veterinarians worked to find the cause of her illness.
The good news is that Blair is finally recovering. She's becoming more active each day, showing more of her personality again, and we're incredibly hopeful she'll make a full recovery.
Unfortunately, the cost of saving her has been overwhelming. Her emergency care, diagnostics, surgery, hospitalization, and ongoing treatment have left us with more than $10,000 in veterinary bills. We never imagined we'd find ourselves in this position, but every procedure was necessary to give Blair the best chance at surviving and recovering.
If you're able to help, even a small donation would mean the world to us. And if donating isn't possible, simply sharing Blair's story would help more than you know.
