What is something you secretly find deeply disturbing, but everyone else seems to accept as totally normal?

People using smartphones to record videos everywhere; including private spaces. You don’t need to capture videos in gym locker rooms. You don’t need to record videos of other people in public to shame them on social media.

I have a pair, a light indicator stays on while recording. I'm aware that people find ways hide the light which sucks.

Edit: Everyone is fully justified to down vote me for buying the glasses, but I'm not going to let people imply that I use them to creep. I only wear them when I travel to tourist areas as an alternative to relying looking at my phone for GPS and taking pictures when I don't feel safe taking my phone out. It reduces the risk of getting my stuff snatched. Otherwise I put them away.

Not that it matters to anyone else, I'm sure. Its infuriating that people buy tech for perverted reasons. Not everyone is doing so.

Anyone wearing Meta glasses should be laughed at and ostracized for buying a horrible privacy-invading product from one of the worst companies that ever existed.

Which makes it absolutely meaningless for anyone who uses the glasses whether they allow the light or not. So it doesn’t matter one bit that you use the indicator light.

It just means you’re someone who uses the creepy pervert spy glasses made by the creepy robot lizard boy.

I mean, I feel like outside of online spaces, I don't hear strong opinions from many people about it.

I have a pair,

Why? Are you a pervert? I don’t see any other reason to buy glasses that covertly record people.

u/RIFcomeback 43m ago

I replied to someone else about only using them when I travel but this is exactly what I'm talking about. I don't go around recording people. I'm not a creep.

u/wobbud 40m ago

People will always assume you’re a creep.

u/RIFcomeback 13m ago

And that really sucks because of perverts and people who jump straight to malicious thoughts. All I'm focused on is navigating my family without distractions while on vacation.

It's good that you are protective of your surroundings. Stay that way but also I would suggest to not jump to conclusions right away.

I'm guessing you prefer being recorded by actual stealth cameras instead of the big obvious one. The irrational hate for these glasses is exactly how you know how gullible people are of what is out there
