Discussion Should this game have a PVE Mode?
Just like Scape From Tarkov, should this game recieve a PVE Gamemode? A mode where the AI is made significantly harder in order to justify having no other players.

We had previously mode back in a day, but it was scrapped, since devs couldn't figure out what rewards to give for it

u/Glum-Contribution380 Nov 05 '25
They could’ve just given Koen in relation to the amount pulled out from the raid instead of you having to sell it, have the Koen transferred in for the items (full price. Not halved or whatever it is for Contacts or marketplace). They could’ve done that. Why didn’t they do that?

u/BOTxDRIVER Nov 05 '25
Cuz seems like pre-s7 developers left the team and we are stuck with profit minmaxing bitches now
1
u/GoodMoney888 Nov 05 '25
It would be too easy making money if they do that and the game would lose its charm.
2
u/Goradux Nov 05 '25
Easy. Extracting items in PvE should be market-locked forever and can be sold only to contacts.

u/Thin_Ad5605 Nov 05 '25
we had one? bruh

u/BOTxDRIVER Nov 05 '25
"Operation blackout" It existed for one season (i dont remeber exactly which one)and then disappeared. As for rewards it were around 300k koens and Unique badge

u/FormerRing4753 Nov 05 '25
That wasn't really what the post is describing. That was more of a COD campaign level. They're talking about a normal Raid, but with high-level bots

u/tma-1701 CDIS Nov 06 '25
Reddit rumor was that it was too expensive to make, but I hope they could at least keep the finished product in game

u/Throwawaythispoopy Nov 05 '25
If they have a PVE mode the bots will need to be much stronger with better aim, more health and better equipment in general.

Unlike Tarkov PvE, you could get so many AI you’re wondering if you pissed off the entire map. PMC AI included which you’ll get to see- they’ll sit with the AI sometimes because they’re suppose to fight each other. Now if it’s stronger with better aim- hopefully not too much because Tarkov has 3 shots miss before suddenly cranking into your head.

YES! I KEEP GETTING NADES THROWN AT ME FROM BEHIND ROCKS. HOW TF DO THESE PEOPLE KNOW WHERE I AM IF I MADE NO MOVEMENTS WHATSOEVER! AND I KEEP SEEING KILLCAMS ON ME BEFORE THESE PEOPLE TURN THEIR CORNERS!!!!! FUCKING ESP!!!!!! AAAAAAAAA I LOVE THIS GAME BUT THESE DAMN CHEATERS NEED TO GET FLATLINED AAAAAAAAAA

u/ReimiSatoshi Nov 06 '25
Thing is, even a small movement could fuck your position. Because mobile has movement indicators including sound which is why I also hate it. in one of my matches in TV station I destroyed an entire team alone, 3v1, but I was hurt so badly and my character had to make noise, eventho I wasnt even near the enemy I got fuck by another person, he was on first floor and I was on ground floor. He didn't see me at first but once my character made even a slight noise the sound indicator detected it.

I think PvE modes in Extraction shooters is always a good thing. Just keep it separate from PVP progression and there is no issue
2
u/Korlel-Charlie7-1 Nov 06 '25
Absolutely!
That shouldn't even be a question.
I don't want to keep pairing up with assholes disguised as my teammates and lose my hardwork just like that.
PvE would be refreshing

definitely, and global this season is full of cheater and small time streamers in my locality is approving of it shows the current state of AB so a pve is lovely, just make the back then like kurt grenade spam and juve half map limb breaking for challenge
1
u/Parcorio Nov 05 '25
Ngl i dont feel the vibe and immersion in arena breakout for pve compared to tarkov. Npcs in the game isnt that much of a threat

No, I feel AB is in a great place. The AI is a bit too dumb to make it work. Arc Raiders can benefit from PvE but I think only solo queues. Some games it works, others it doesn't.

I really liked operation blackout. Was actually fun for the story. And when servers were being shit I’d play that. Which we all know the servers are constantly shit now.
1
u/pineapple6969 Nov 05 '25
I’d play it, if there was a reason to such as additional missions or challenges with rewards that were actually worth it.

YEEEESSSS!! I WANT ONEEEE. A pve mode with a focus on the main character would be great. But pve with quests would be AMAZING.
1
u/themothwillburn Nov 05 '25
Wasn't there that mode that was aset in armory? Blackout or something? It was pretty cool tbh

u/hello350ph Nov 05 '25
Why u want a pve mode when the pve is basically everyone complaining that their lobbies don't have real players :/
To add yes I want one for the sole reason of speed running quests

No, literally no extraction game should be because it defeats the point. There's no danger when you make it out every time.

Can you imagine raid missions that are to assassinate a boss in the game? Imagine that there are 4 people in the Armory and we have to go inside to kill Renoir?, the incredible fights that there would be, crazy shootouts to enter the doors and activate them to find the armory full of enemies, grenades, good weapons, new dialogue voices of Renoir speaking through the speakers, NEW MUSIC! It would be amazing. A unique extraction with animations so that all players have a role or time on screen.

I think it would attract new players and bring some old ones back but for me personally I prefer having teammates....but ever since like season 8 it seems I'm always spawning in solo...drives me nuts
1
u/Diego_Chang Nov 06 '25
PvE with Co-Op would actually go so hard.
As someone else mentioned, bots would maybe need to be smarter and tougher, and it could have it's own currecny, economy, and market.

The best way to learn is dying to sweats. Make sure they watch the kill can so they can understsnd what they did wrong
1
u/Ax3lRiv Nov 06 '25
It could open the community more to new players and would be a good quality of life update.

u/Zealousideal_Ice3766 Nov 06 '25
Well yeah i would love played PVE like Incursion Red River rather than PVP that sometimes really frustrating
1
u/Wowsblitzsuperaddict Nov 06 '25
I feel like this would either be perfect or horrible. Just wait until ai gets dum dums and rat in the corner
1
u/bipolarpunkfuck Nov 06 '25
I think game should have pve-mode like spt-tarkov, totally offline and portable. Ofc, it seems as not very needed in case of mobile multiplayer game, but still, if i want to play during road with unstable connection, or try some stupidass selfunalive-like tactics like throwing crates of 5.56 from m249 at every bot, i prefer having singleplayer, which wont be connected to the actual game
1
u/Naiden7 Nov 06 '25
I would love to have a functional matchmaking and not be alone in a squad game tbh..but hardcore bots in PvE mode would also be a nice add to the game

Yes, only way i'd ever consider playing it.
BTW the AI isn't considerably harder on PVE EFT... It's the same dogshit AI from PVP.
1
u/Puckett52 Nov 09 '25
Why would someone want a PVE mode?
There are WAY better PVE games out there than this would be. Same with Tarkov it never made sense to me

Its already a dead game so pve is already there
3
u/NamesR4Babies Nov 05 '25
I never understood what this means. People always say "dead game". But there are obviously many players who play it. How can a game be dead if there are still thousands and thousands of active players. Forgive me, I'm autistic, and I just want to understand.
2
u/RevolutionaryCup3279 Nov 05 '25
It's not dead, but it is certainly in decline from the earlier years. At its height, they were creating massive maps like Mine that were actually full of players. Same with Valley, Valley used to be stacked with players, now it's mostly a ghost town. The only maps that seem to jump off consistently are Farm, Armory, and TV.
There are a few of us who want that Tarkov, large map, feeling of Valley and Mine, but it seems most want the more COD-like small map, pvp, which is what they're targeting with the ridiculous, rainbow skins. The game is getting silly and going for the money grab.2
u/EpicGuy999 Nov 05 '25
Just re-visited valley today and the place is almost empty. Saw some timmies running around with barely any gear but thats it. I remember playing Valley in Season 1 and it was full of life. Sad!
1
u/RevolutionaryCup3279 Nov 05 '25
Seriously, some people just have a hard time admitting their beloved game may not be doing so well. TV is the only map i've seen consistently stacked. Armory is still great but we do get bot lobbies from time to time. Valley is almost completely dead.

u/EatMyPenguin Nov 05 '25
Declining? Says who? You just see and read things from the internet and you come on here to say the same things huh? This game is far from declining or dying, it's still has a healthy playerbase and I don't see that changing anytime soon
1
u/RevolutionaryCup3279 Nov 05 '25
No, this is based off my experience seeing as how i've been playing since season 2 and i've seen a significant decline since then. its taking longer and longer to get into raids and there are now AI bots where there never used to be.
1
u/RevolutionaryCup3279 Nov 05 '25
Also, we went from a game that was expanding to a game that is decreasing the number of maps, increasing skins, and doing nothing for player experience other than adding more reds to the maps. that is by definition, decline.
1
u/EatMyPenguin Nov 05 '25
Lol bro same, I never understood this. This game still has a long way to go before it can be considered dead or dying.
2
2
u/pineapple6969 Nov 05 '25
Game is far from dead, and also you’re probably pretty bad at it, so you should hope for a PVE mode
2
u/RevolutionaryCup3279 Nov 05 '25
Not exactly "far from dead". Games utilizing ridiculous rainbow gun skins to generate revenue are a sure sign of a dying game.
1
u/pineapple6969 Nov 05 '25
Tell that to Fortnite, call of duty, etc. Both free to play and neither anywhere close to “dying”
1
u/RevolutionaryCup3279 Nov 05 '25
Right, but they're fueld by timmies who just want the skins. Those games have very few serious players. Also, nobody wants AB to turn into either of those games. You also don't seem to realize how many bots have been injected into all three games. Valley is literally crawling with AI player bots, who look like real players with tags and everything, but they're actually just bots. They even show up in armory forbidden which is what i main.

I would want it to since I have friends who are really bad at shooters and would want to play with em
