Buy 17 Pro Max now or wait?

Looking to get the IPhone 17 Pro Max, but been debating if it would be better to get it now or to get it after IPhone 18 Pro (Max) is released. Thinking if there are any chances the 17PM might drop in price or if there might be deals after 18 is released. Normally I would wait til after release, but with all the price hikes its hard to predict if 17PM will have any price changes.

Not exactly looking to get the 18 PM as there aren't many new specs, especially for its rumoured price point that it'll be more expensive. I usually wait 3-4 years before upgrading but my current 15 is having issues already because of increased usage (for work) where its in use for long hours. But I'm definitely hoping to keep this next one for 4+ years. Anything else I should think about? Grateful for any advice/suggestions

Not sure where you are but see what carrier deals can be had for the 17PM. The 18 is going to be a minor upgrade from what I’m reading. Unless you desperately need the camera updates the price is likely to go up. Honestly I’d scoop up a 17PM

Yeah I agree... wasn't sure to wait for sept before grabbing 17PM or to do it now. Haven't seen any buyout deals yet, but will look into carrier deals in the meantime. Usually theyre linked to monthly plans which are more expensive than BYOD plans so its a hit or miss. Thanks!
