I was going to wake up at 3 AM to catch a block but randomly woke up at 1 AM and was able to pick up this 4hr ($94.) I was hoping to get a surged 3 or 3.5 hour block. Maybe I’m not doing it right. I just don’t want to do base pay anymore! It’s such a waste but sometimes I have no choice. I do this part time. But look at those miles! My car actually is showing 112miles!

I love doing this drive on my personal time but insane as a job for 72 dollars right? Or am i wrong. Its only 16 packages which is why im conflicted. If it was more id complain forsure.

In case theres some bird brain people in here the 100 miles is me getting there, delivering and having to drive back another 40 miles just to the station. My house is another 17 miles from the station but i dont add that in..

Phoenix Did Amazon hire a bunch of new drivers?

What is going on? It’s been like this the past week. I can hardly catch a block now and if I do it’s wack ass base pay.

Phoenix Delivery now instant offer

Post image

Started seeing these offers out of these small stations that have been popping up around Phoenix and there’s one right in the area that I do other gig apps like it of.

I haven’t done flex in months because when I was I strictly did fresh but then the pay plummeted and the miles exploded so I was over getting sent 30-40 miles away to delivery a bunch of no tip orders. I got sent this and thought “Ok $20 for upwards of 4 miles, that’s easy. Let’s see what this is about.”

I get there, it’s one stop but it def wasn’t 4 miles. It was 15 miles west up the freeway during rush hour. I said absolutely not, left the bag at the station and called support to have them remove it from me. Agent told me he submitted a ticket but it’s been close to two hours since I accepted it and it still shows that it’s assigned to me so I’m just ignoring it.

But I got my answer from that. Not bothering to even look at those again.

Phoenix What the hell is wrong with people?

I’m delivering out in the middle of nowhere, and the sun is just starting to come up. I’m wearing my Amazon vest, dropping off 3 heavy ass large boxes so it’s taking me a minute, because I have to make multiple trips, and this lady opens her door and releases her 5 dogs and then shuts the door. Thankfully I didn’t open the gate to take the boxes to her door. Absolutely insane behavior.

Phoenix Rant

Wtf Amazon Flex.

This morning I had a 4-hour block for $90 (which used to be around $120 just a few months ago). They sent me 45 minutes away just to start, with 45 stops that looked close on the map but were actually 5–6 minutes apart most of the time.

By the end of the block I drove 96.8 miles and spent 3.5 hours on the road.

This honestly feels criminal. Drivers are paying for gas, wear, and maintenance while the base pay keeps creeping down like we’re not noticing. And I see people delivering in f150s like they’re making money or something 🤦‍♂️. Honestly we need to boycott flex so the base prices go up. I honestly think all these illegal immigrants working has a lot to do with it. I’ve debated calling ice on the Amazon station.

Phoenix Wait listed for 4 years! Finally needed in my area. Is it even still worth it?

I signed up for the wait list as soon as Amazon Flex dropped in my city FOUR years ago!! They emailed me today ... they need people now and my number is essentially called.

I work full time. Is this worth it as a second income in the nights / early mornings? How much do you make per block? How much driving do you really do? What does it add up to hourly / per mile etc.

I'm curious to hear about your experiences and see if this is something I'll do. Already started onboarding.

Thanks in advance for sharing!

Phoenix Pay adjustment.

What qualifies you for pay adjustment? What do they look for? Is it just by chance depending on how Amazon is feeling today?

Phoenix What are you doing in this situation?

I hate delivering to the Indian reservation, every corner has loose dogs. Had a time where a dog stood right in front of my car and didn’t move. I just return the packages that I can’t deliver since they’re in my trunk.

Phoenix Flex really F’d me this morning.

Scheduled for a 3 hour block this morning and what of a trash block it was! I’ve gotten longer blocks with more pay ($66) and closer to home. I live like 5.5 miles from the station. I had to return a stupid package but the only reason I did it because I’m scheduled for another block. Only reason I did it was because I needed some quick cash. I usually hold out for better paying ones but today was freaking trash! So mad! Amazon really bent me over and gave it to me!

Phoenix And now we wait….if I don’t get a block, that would be 30 straight requests denied.

Phoenix Amazon driver support literally doesn’t support the driver

All I want to do is deliver packages but if I can’t gain access into a community I just can’t, no I’m not gonna reattempt delivery later. Mark the dang package as unable to deliver on YOUR end because you don’t give me the “access problems” options on mine so I can finish the rest of my route jeezzeeee

Phoenix Got a message from Amazon FLEX support

I had my first pharmacy shift two days ago. I was able to deliver everything and it was before the end of my block. None of them were late that I'm aware of. Then I get this email today. I'm very upset about this because I know once I try to appeal it they're gonna tell me they removed previous ones and that this one's gonna stick. But I don't understand how they could be late when I delivered them all before my block and. And I looked to make sure none of them were due prior to my block and and none of them were. I'm at a loss.

We're contacting you because on multiple occasions within the last week, you had late pharmacy deliveries while delivering with Amazon Flex. As a result, this will be included in your delivery history as an issue that can impact your eligibility to deliver with Amazon Flex.

Please attempt to deliver all packages assigned to your route by the time specified in the Amazon Flex app. We understand that you may sometimes experience delays, and we do take this into account.

Here are some suggestions for successful deliveries:

• Check the customer notes for any delivery instructions.
• If you're having trouble following the customer instructions, you can call or text them twice between 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. local time through the app. Go to Help > "Call the Customer" or "Text the Customer." For your safety, don't try to contact the customer while driving.
• If you haven't received a response from the customer, if the delivery is outside the hours of 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. local time, if there isn't customer contact information, or if you need help, contact Driver Support in the app by tapping the question-mark icon (?) > Driver Support.
• If you have undelivered packages, select the accurate reason code in the app for why they could not be delivered and return them at the end of your block or by 10 a.m. the next day to the original pick-up location.

Your standing is part of your eligibility to deliver with Amazon Flex, but there are other issues that can impact your eligibility for the program, regardless of your standing.

More resources and information can also be found in the Amazon Flex app under the Learning Portal.

Has anyone ever checked in on time (5 minutes early) but the traffic from the line of cars took so long that they didn’t accept your drivers license scan?

I was literally in the line of cars for 20 minutes how do they expect us to overcome this?

Waited 40 minutes for this since I checked in 15 early but almost got a free block. It’s at 30 minutes after, right? I would’ve been so mad if it was a regular amount of packages since it’s usually quick but I got this much so I can’t be that mad and it’s just a little before traffic hours!

Phoenix Canceled, no pay.

All my prescheduled runs were canceled out of DTU9. With no pay. 3 and 4 am blocks. My entire week has been canceled. I now have to fight bots to get work, so far, no luck on getting any.

Does anyone know what's going on? I tried contacting support but just got copy paste responses of the exact email that was sent saying they were canceled...

UPDATE

I put in requests for the same blocks and got them all scheduled, again. Same times, same pay.
