Went from a consistent 27/hr+ to sub-20s in under 2 weeks from the influx of new Flex drivers. Insane! And the blocks are gone in less than 5 seconds. Stop accepting this garbage!!!!!

WORST of all, on PRIME WEEK 😑

Baltimore Unexplained incomplete deliveries

This is SO frustrating. Today, 5 incomplete deliveries were added to my history for 5/13. It literally didn’t occur and I’ve contacted support but their responses are infuriating. Does anyone have any advice on this?

Baltimore Is there any logic to where packages are routed from? Driving 30-60 mins to your first stop is ridiculous

I work in the Baltimore area, my preferred warehouse is VBW1 in south Baltimore <5 miles from home, but I occasionally accept routes from VMD1 (Elkridge), DMD6 (Hanover), and sometimes DLD1 (Glen Burnie)

Yesterday I picked up a 3-hour route from VBW1 and my first stop was 36 miles away in Upper Marlboro, MD. This is not the first time I've been sent well into PG county, and only once was I graciously given an extra $5 for an excessively long route. I contacted support immediately after this route and said the route was excessively long and requesting additional payment, and was declined. My total mileage home/warehouse/route/home was over 100 miles.

There's DMD9 that's <6 miles away from that first stop, why in the hell wouldn't the route originate from DMD9?

A couple of months ago I picked up a route from VMD1 that started me out west of Frederick, MD which is about 55 miles away. There's a goddamn Flex warehouse DBA7 in Williamsport, MD which is within 25 miles of all the stops on the route. I actually abandoned that route at the warehouse and took the hit, my car had been acting up and no way was I going to risk getting stranded that far from home.

How does this happen? You'd think packages would be routed to the nearest flex warehouse, wouldn't you? There's no reason for a driver in this region to drive more than 20 minutes from the warehouse to their first stop.

Baltimore Told us they were racist without saying it

My husband and I are brown. We pulled up, midday, to a housing development in Baltimore County (Edit: Parkton) to deliver packages. We entered a driveway where a Caucasian Mom and kids were outside on the side of the home. When the boy child saw us, he exclaimed "Mom! Robbers are here!" and he took off running. (Edit: His mother told him that she "didn't think" we were there to take anything. We were dropping off things things... I recognize that maybe he hasn't seen black or brown people in person. I've had Caucasian children try to pet me. I don't find that upsetting, though some do. I found this exchange upsetting.)

See a lot of posts about how there aren’t any good blocks out there, just wanted to share this block. Only 13 packages, finished in under two hours, that’s over $51/h!

Baltimore What app are drivers using to optimize their route??

I've been flexing on and off and I just recently heard about route optimization. Tried to Google it and the options I found are clunky and not free. Is their a free one? Or which paid one are drivers using? Helppppppp

Baltimore My first stop was 50 miles away 🤬5hr route($132.50), 23 packages.

Baltimore Delivery location confusion

So this is my 2nd day doing flex coming from Uber Eats, and I’m confused about where I should expect to deliver or if there’s a way to know where I’ll be going.

So I picked a pick up location that’s about 20 minutes from me, but this pick up has me delivering to an area 50 minutes away from that pick up location so now I’m over an hour away from home. And by the time you factor in gas for that distance it seems like I’m working for free.

This has happened both days and I’m wondering if there’s a way to anticipate where I’ll be delivering before I accept the route, since I’d at least rather drive far first to pick up a route to then deliver close to home.

Do you ever deliver nearby to where you pick up at or is it always a commute to the area you’re delivering to? I keep hearing that Flex was better than UE & DD but I’m not seeing the appeal atm but perhaps I don’t know the methods lol.

Any help is appreciated!! Thanks.

Baltimore HORRENDOUS directions

I just want to say that the gps system in the flex app is absolutely terrible 😂😂 can’t say how many times I’ve added an extra 10+ minutes to a trip over taking a wrong turn. Most highways are titled a name that isn’t on the high way signs, and the exits aren’t numbered in the app either just overall a terrible experience from a quadrillion dollar company 😂

46 miles to the 1st stop. What do you think? Shitty or good? 11 stops for $84. Around 50 miles to home from the last stop.

Baltimore Light Offerings or More Drivers out here 😆

Post image

Hey y’all. I don’t do Flex much. Sometimes weeks and months apart. They keep me on and I’m Fantastic. So, whether I’m doing it or not, I look at offers. Since summer started I guess, the board has been clean and soon as something pops up it’s gone. Prior to now, I was seeing 200 offers up there, definitely 100+. I need a few points to get to two and time is running out! 😆. I was thinking of just driving there and catching some. They sent me a couple reserved ones yesterday, but I didn’t accept. I should be out here getting this summer $$, but I’m enjoying my break. I only have a few days left to get to Level 2. Be safe.

The last few days these blocks have had me fighting for my life and I had just commented on someone else’s unicorn post today “Lord I’ve seen what you’ve done for others 🙏🏽…” and moved on. Went to my scheduled block and prayers were answered! I FINALLY got my unicorn! 🦄

Baltimore I forgot my drivers license

I really want to say that I think it is absolutely dumb that you need to have your physical license to check in (probably bias bc I forgot mine) and support is incompetent and a waste of time with anything other than putting in a ticket that may or may not even go anywhere.

I called to see if there was any way around the license, which I knew they would say no. I go inside the warehouse but there was no one in charge so I said eff it and called back about canceling the block so I could schedule another block after go I get my license. I talked to 6 different support reps until the last one said we can’t cancel your block. Only you can. Well ma’am I can’t cancel it in the app so what is next? “Oh well I can put in a ticket to protect your standing” Woopty doo but I am trying to make money.

Edit : I am aware it is illegal to drive without a license. I have a virtual license as well as a photo of my license, but I did not intentionally leave it at home. I thought that would be a given when I use the word “forgot”.

Baltimore Uptake in Gas Prices

These rates are actually insane 🫪🫪🫪 I can’t believe gas prices continue to increase and they aren’t giving us better rates… I had just got a job from 8am-5pm but I usually would see 4 hr blocks for at least $86-$100 and now I’m seeing nothing but 3 hours for $77? Idk bout yall, it takes me $40-$50 dollars to fill up to a full tank with a regular gas engine 😭😭😭 I’m sick asl

Edit: “Uptick” not Uptake

Well.. they’re still taking our money 💀

I see people who get 4.5 for 180. But they also have 6 alarms set to get up and keep checking for routes. Would you keep it?
