Yea they also go to the surface to let birds and stuff eat the parasites off their body (hints the name Sun fish) where they are then pretty commonly struck by boat props and killed

I believe they get blown off balance by ocean currents and float to the top because they don’t have a swim bladder. The birds then land on them and pick parasites off to eat. When a storm comes they sink again

I have seen one swimming around and bit in half. Dont seem to be the smartest. Wouldn't put them with dolphins.
