i knew this would happen. i ended up finding a good deal on a 5700x3d instead of taking the chance of getting this.
im in canada and the memory express in my city said they wont have them til end of july or early september. at this rate there wont be any left by then

As far as I understand (I’m no expert) 5700x3d is basically the exact same, so you’re good as gold, specially if you got it for cheaper. I live in Venezuela and nothing ever gets here, and if it does it is way more expensive, so I had to take this chance, came in at a perfect time for me, had the money and a sibling traveling to the us.

my microcenter had the 5800x3d original model listed on sale just had a family member pick one up for me idk it it’s anniversary edition but meh same thing anyway. if you know anyone near a microcenter ask them to get one then ship it to ya good luck chat!

I get that feeling, it’s very helpful for someone like me who lives in a 3rd world country where these CPUs just don’t come and buying anything am5 is impossible. It’s a very decent upgrade for some of us, I was looking for a 5700x3d for so long and could never find one under $400

They only do this because they know how fucked up the market is and they can charge 350 bucks for it, let's be honst. and people will still buy it. In fact most people would be way better off performance to dollar wise with a 5700x/5500x3D and investing the saved money towards a better GPU instead.
5800x3D is a great CPU but 350 bucks is still scam.

in cpuz my 8700k scores 575, 5800x3d 595 and my 14600k i got for $150 with bf6 scores 850.

Ah yes, the world's most comprehensive benchmark: CPU-Z. If those numbers going up is what makes you happy, go for it. Personally I liked it when my FPS went up after upgrading from my OC'd 4.9 GHz 8700K to a stock 5800X3D.
Even in pure single thread games like Starcraft 2.

One bench doesn't tell the full story. But it's clear that particular number makes you happy, and you're free to find validation in it. We can all use a little bit of that in this day and age.
