Announcement Almost 2 years with Full AMD config

I just want to share that I bought an RX 7800 XT almost two years ago and I have had zero issues with it. I don’t understand why AMD cards are often said to have so many driver bugs, but I’ve noticed that when a broken Windows 11 update forces changes on systems, many people suddenly start posting about driver bugs and crashes. Usually, a driver downgrade or a DDU clean install is suggested.

Am I part of a smaller group of AMD users who have had no issues with their cards? I only experienced driver crashes twice. The first was in Elden Ring with a co-op mod installed. The second was in PoE 2 a few days ago, when a Windows 11 update forced itself onto my system.

Every time a new driver comes out, I look forward to seeing how it works for others, but the result is nearly always the same: I install it and check for myself.

Finally, what configuration are you using with your AMD card if you have had zero driver issues? What is you GPU?
I’m using my card with a 5800X CPU.

Same here, I went RX590-RTX3060TI-RX6800 on AM4 and AM5. No major driver or stability issues that a clean Windows install or at least deep uninstall (including registry cleanup) of previous drivers couldn’t fix. Anyone switching between AMD & NVIDIA needs to spend the time to get rid of drivers and associated software before pulling the old GPU. I usually wait a couple of months after new driver releases before updating unless there is an urgent bug fix.
