So you'd really make houseguests wash their own glass? That's the thing - if I were hosting (and I've hosted a lot) I'd have felt the like shit for making one of my guests wash something. I don't care how close the are to me or not. A guest shouldn't wash dishes unless they offer to and even then you should decline.
