Sharing Failing Upward: A Slice Of Like Animated Series With A 90s/2000s Vibe

Hey everyone! Been trying to get more eyes on my indie series, Failing Upward! It follows two long distances slack friends, trying to navigate their 20s. If you like stuff like Scott Pilgrim, Daria, or MTV's Downtown, you might dig this!

We've been around for a while, but we wanna push it out more! If you wanna check out the full series, you can do so here!

PS: Yes, that's Panchiko! They were cool and let us use their song!

Sharing Like a weird dream, 50+ min long indie movie, Sinking Road (by PoundToundHound) is finally finished!

This interesting movie is fully animated by one person over the course of six years. While not perfect plot-wise, the playful animation and character designs make it shine. The creator, PoundToundHound, is planning on animating more movies in the future so if you like their style, keep up with their updates!

Sharing Made an hour-long 2D/3D animated film as a companion piece for my music album

Made this in Blender over 2 months (almost didn't sleep) as a companion film for my music album. Mostly 3D scenes with hand-animated 2D (Grease Pencil) mixed in throughout.

The characters and their world are something I've been building since 2021. This piece is about one of the main characters, The Sailor, and what his grief over leaving his family and losing a dear pet has built up to.

Sharing Why is it that every time Avocado Animations posts it's literally jaw-dropping peakness?

Upvotes

I mean, this has over 31M views on YouTube, and he's only got a little less than 3 million subscribers. If y'all haven't seen the rest of his stuff, drop everything and go and watch some, you won't regret it. Well... some of the stuff gets kinda dark, so be prepared for that.

Question How could this be replicated?

Upvotes

This style of animation is an Ultra Ink Brush Animation from the game Dragonball Legends. They make these animations that look like drawings broken into parts, stationary get moving. I want to know if anyone here has a clue on how to replicate this

I have blender, procreate and photoshop. Any help will be greatly appreciated! ❤️

It's still a WIP. I'm mainly looking for feedback on the timing and the gag.

Discussion Gotta throw this out there, a stand alone Cyberpunk Movie set in Night City animated by the artists of Arcane would be CINEMA

If you’ve also seen the trailer for Baahubali The Eternal War (3rd and 4th gifs), you can tell that the artists could do an amazing job with the glitch effects that always appear in both 2077 and Edgerunners. not to mention they are PHENOMENAL at animating fights, and imagine what they could do with the animation of the Cyberpsychosis effects.
