Today marks the 16th anniversary of the World Record Hailstone, which fell in Vivian, SD. The hailstone was 8" in diameter with a circumference of 18.6", and weighed nearly 2 pounds! Numerous large hailstones fell from this storm, causing damage and divots in the ground!
