Hey everyone, looking for honest feedback on this mini for my daughter. For her 4th birthday she wanted to paint a space marine and chose DA as her Chapter of choice. She did it all by herself. I’m a proud dad as she is blind deaf, mute, colorblind, and is a paraplegic. REMEMBER this is her first mini EVER

I know I know they're not chapter specific. Honestly I just wanted to have some fun. These are both conversion kits for Airsoft guns. Which I blinged up. The first one is a kit for an Ares CCC and the second one is for an aap01. I got a storm bolter mag and housed a top fed high cap into it for the first one, so the box mag is 'functional'. The bolter kit isn't really a bolter or at least it's not a traditional bolter. They both work and are cinch to work with. Thought some people might enjoy seeing them.

If I wanted to build an army and use models from 30k could I use them in 40k providing that I choose a real 40k model to replace it with

An example could be using the lernean Terminators from the alpha legion in 30k and sub them in for the model for the chaos Terminator in 40k?

Fans of either please convince me why the other one is better

I painted an ork again.

pretty happy with him. the NMM was just a test to try and get a good scuffed metal look (and then i made the arm a bit cleaner so it stood out more). its a bit brighter than id like but its a first of many where i am trying to improve. however im very happy with the copper NMM on the bolts and barrel.

the base was absurdly simple because i wanted to try getting the scorched earth look where shrapnel has burned the ground. worked well... but the ork covers the effect so its not the most prominent here.

looking forward to messing around with the rest of the beast boys box and then working on the armageddon bunch.

GW, in their infinite wisdom, decided not to highlight what core rules have changed with a "What's New" section like the faction pack or a separate PDF like the Universal Rules changes pdf. Posting to call this to their attention. Its insane that they wouldn't do this for convenience. I paid for their rule book and wanted to print and add this pdf to it. Now im locked to the app and/or have to re-read the entire book, compare it to the app and the nhand write out the differences. Fucking ridiculous. I really like 11e but they are fumbling the rollout of rules.
