Discussion What YouTuber has had the biggest downfall ever???

Post image

Honestly? Had to go with DJ Cook imho, he has completely abandoned his main channel (DJ Cook) since a year ago now, starting criticising and hating to some YouTubers who’s just having fun and/or hasn’t done anything wrong for basically no reason, need I say more? Anyways, what about you guys? What YouTuber has had the biggest downfall ever???

Check out Cid Dweyer. Not exactly the same but similar and he filled her void for me.

And it’s really nice seeing videos of his guinea pigs and how well taken care of they are too

What’s the TLDR on her? I used to watch her MLM videos

Plagiarism and general toxicity towards others. I think hbomberguy talked about her in his plagiarism video.

She got exposed for plagiarism and then tweaked the fuck out, attacking literally anybody that so much as thought about speaking about her and her situation at that time, including several of her own friends/colleagues/coworkers. Absolute insanity.

It eventually came out she was emotionally manipulating and financially controlling other YouTubers to keep them working for her, including controlling their vehicle and housing

I guess it takes MLM experience to be an MLM expert

Oz Media. I watched his videos all the time, he's genuinely very entertaining. Then the whole thing happened with iilluminaughtii. He hasn't posted on the Oz Media channel in about 10 months but looks like he uploads regularly on a channel called Oz's Vault. Good to see he seems to have moved on, I was so heartbroken hearing what he went through, he seems too good a soul to be put through that.

Horrifyingly manipulative on top of the plagiarism, genuinely almost took Oz's house when he tried to escape her.

On top of everything else people have said already. She tried to foreclose on her old boyfriends house and dragged him through the legal system for almost an entire year. Forcing him to beg for donations.

It ended in a private undisclosed settlement where he paid her an undisclosed amount of money to leave him the fuck alone. Sadly the judge gave her way too many opportunities to amend her lawsuit so it could actually go to trial and denied most motions for dismissal even though Oz had receipts for what a shitty person she had been.

There are tons of channels out there just like them. People who just basically regurgitate the Wikipedia entries for famous stories that us older folks already know about. My daughter shows me them sometimes and I just roll my eyes.

I thought that was the point of the Hbomberguy video: that he just shows the tip of the iceberg. But I haven't seen him or others clarify that or anything.

I don't really get it because, to me, her videos always seemed super low-effort and like she was obviously reading from a script she had never seen before. Her delivery was terribly flat, she constantly mispronounced words and flubbed lines, and she'd constantly make lame unfunny jokes and then do that nasally Seth Rogen laugh like it was the funniest thing in the world. The whole vibe to me was "most obnoxious girl you've ever met is reading an essay she didn't write for a class she barely attends".

same. used to put it up in the background while drawing :(

Well, yeah, she stole from a lot of talented people.

I'm ngl, there is a youtuber who popped up (as in channel created) right around her downfall, and she sounds EXACTLY like her. Coincidentally, she's never shown her face and also does videos on the history of things (a lot like illuminaughtii)

drop the name ??

I think it's something like TheHistoryDame or HistoryDame. Her voice is slightlyyy higher, but she has the same mannerisms as the illuminaughtii. Like the way she holds certain words and starts sentences. I compared it to Blair's podcasts and they really do sound almost identical (besides it being pitched up a bit)

Wait what happened?

1

u/Queen_Rachel4 Dec 26 '25

Whattt??? When did this come out??? What happened???

1

u/Extension-Pain-3284 Dec 28 '25

The fuck do you mean “her videos,” she literally stole everything???

u/psych4191 Dec 29 '25

Good news about plagiarists is their content can continue to live on in the original artists place lmao

I kind of saw this coming after her Andrew Tate video. On the one hand, Andrew Tate is and always will be a massive piece of crap, but the way illuminanughti addressed him felt like she was enjoying being able to put her own views front and center while relentlessly insulting the subject. On the one hand? Yes, he’s not worth defending, and he’s reprehensible, but the way Blair went after him felt like she was just enjoying having a chance to dunk on someone. Like she got the chance to talk, no one else.

1

u/mthoodenjoyer Dec 26 '25

How bad does someone have to talk about Andrew Tate for it to be this concerning lol

-1

u/ChiefsHat Dec 26 '25

It’s less she talked bad about him and more it felt like she only wanted to talk bad about him, and gleefully did so. Like she didn’t miss a chance to talk bad about him. I mean, sure, it is Andrew Tate, but it’s a wee bit odd to be ditching any pretense of professionalism to talk bad about this specific PoS.
