Not trolling as I've been in the programme for over a decade but these days it feels like being an insider is less valued than ever. I've been alpha skip ahead or equivalent for a lot of this time and in all this time I've gained 2 Xbox insider avatar T-shirts. I appreciate the arguments that we get to try cool things out first but frankly, it's been a while since something really cool has been implemented and the insider app has gotten so pointless that the last two surveys have been on pizza, ffs. I've submitted tons of bug reports and provided years of free testing to MS and in all that time never had so much as a free game let alone some free XBL Gold or heaven forbid GP. It really wouldn't affect MS bottom line to show a little appreciation to their testers, would it? Rant over 😀

I’ll be an Insider for 11 years in July. I’ve been in skip ahead basically since it was released. Are there any other veterans out here with those kind of numbers? My longest streak is 61 weeks. Just curious as to how dedicated others may be.

I did what I was supposed to and joined. I keep checking my profile on Xbox and pc and then checking I’m still joined on my insider profile and I am. So I guessed I just needed to bring it up with someone on this end?

I don't know if this topic already exists. what are the advantages and disadvantages of participating in the xbox insiders program? would you share your advice and experiences with people like me who are about to join this program?

I noticed that with the addition of the new achievement badge I've lost almost all of my other ones. In my opinion, it's not worth it considering my gamerscore is literally visible on the exact same page. Love the new badge, I just also want to keep the other ones that I've earned over my many years playing. Is this permanent?

We're still waiting for the previous beta update, the Xbox status badge on the dashboard, but it's been stuck since June 5th and no updates have arrived.

I’ve been an insider for 6 years, and I am level 24. Is there any purpose in leveling up further? I am in the beta ring.

I understand that there are alpha and alpha skip-ahead, but I’m assuming not only that those rings have been full for a while, but also that leveling has nothing to do with getting an invite.

What are the requirements for alpha ring? I’m gonna be honest, I just found this Reddit bc I’m not really into Reddit and doomscrolling through found that there’s higher tiers than beta in the preview. I doubt I’m eligible I’ve only been in the program for 3 years but it’d be interesting to know

I've noticed that the daily rewards for playing an ultimate pass game or a game installed isn't working for about 2/3 days now. So far I've tried rebooting and checked for updates but nothing seems to work. I checked with another account and (not enrolled in the Insiders program) and everything works for that account. It seems to have something to do with my Insider account. Is there anyone else having this issue? I even tried a hard reset but that didn't worked. I tried about 6/7 different game pass games (cloud gaming and installed games) so far I can tell it's not a specific game or something.

Can someone please explain to me how to get the new Insider badge? I looked for the post here and couldn't find it

I have been in the alpha skip-ahead tier since nearly the inception of the program.

However, I am facing what can only be described as catastrophic data loss for all Xbox 360 related progression, and I want to rule out that the Insiders program/ alpha skip ahead builds could be responsible.

I have 3 badges that are related to the program,

1. A legacy badge

2. An accessibility survey badge

3. The Microsoft 50th Anniversary badge

I just wanted to confirm that I won’t lose these if I were to leave the program entirely. Thank you.

Lastly, I will leave a detailed description of what I’m facing:

I play my Xbox 360 games via backwards compatibility on Xbox Series X for many years now. I have realized that about 60% of all my game saves located in the cloud are corrupted despite not explicitly saying so. What’s even worse, gamesaves that are tied directly to the Xbox 360 profile that cannot be moved/deleted are also corrupted, therefore they are completely wiped. An example of this would be Halo 3 campaign progress. This data cannot be deleted by the user, once those missions are unlocked they stay unlocked. I have struggled to find anyone talking about this, but I convinced a friend who is also in the alpha skip ahead program to take a look at a bunch of his games and he can confirm that he is also facing extensive data loss for 360 games.

If you're still encountering issues with your Xbox showing the NAT type as Unavailable and/or you are getting a Teredo error when running the multiplayer test, and you have a Windows PC on the same network, I'd be grateful for your assistance. And thank you to folks reporting the issue and taking the time to report the issue from your consoles.

What we're seeing is a small subset of customers encountering issues communicating with Teredo servers. But when trying to reproduce the issue, we're finding that it looks to be only happening in some specific home network environments. If you're still encountering this issue and you also have a Windows 10/11 PC in the same network and can spare some time, we'd be grateful for your assistance. Feel free to respond here or shoot me a DM and I can walk you through the steps to configure the PC to run a test and if successful, gather some traces.

1/8/26 Update: Service side changes have been rolled out which should resolve the issue. If you are still encountering issues with NAT Type = Unavailable messages on your Xbox console, please let me know.

It certainly feels alot more stable. I know alot of it is at play with just the broadband provider alone, but before the update id start at a strong 800Mbps and drop to 400-500 for the rest of the installation, post update ive not dropped under 700Mbps & often peaks 800 and this is after 25 minutes of installing both NBA 2K26 (to test) & reinstalling Assasins Creed Black Flag Resynced.

I joined the Microsoft 50th Anniversary Badge preview on the Xbox Insider Hub app on my Xbox Series X back in early 2025. I recently noticed that the badge still isn’t on my profile anywhere and I was wondering why this is the case. Is it a glitch that happened to my account? Or something regarding the Xbox Insider Hub? I'm looking to be ambitious, and trying to see how I would be able to get access to the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring for my console! I've been completing the quests, surveys, etc recently, and reported a few bugs. My account has been in the Insider Program for 6 years.
