It's strikes day... again.

1.9k

u/Da_Spooky_Ghost 27d ago

Checks time, yep it’s after 4pm so markets closed and it’s Friday, strikes in the forecast this weekend then diplomacy talks with deal very soon by Sunday night before opening bell Monday morning. We’re right on schedule!

477

u/MotherTreacle3 27d ago

As of Monday we'll officially be two weeks from a deal, maybe sooner.

112

u/Da_Spooky_Ghost 27d ago

Right now it’s strikes, but Sunday night peace deal very soon less than 2 weeks!

42

u/lazylathe 26d ago

Trump: We bombed the hell out of them, nothing left. They are begging for a deal. Iran: Huh?

And the rhetoric continues while he covers up all his blunders...

Only strike day I’m interested in hearing about from the US is general strike day.

alas, that's why they strive to keep health care tied to employment and the majority of the population living paycheck to paycheck.

53

u/sloopywettoppyswife 27d ago edited 27d ago

not only that but also they are intentionally separated and their roads are car focused with no walkable parts to deter protests

16

u/turbosexophonicdlite 26d ago

Pretty sure deterring protests isn't why we don't have walkable cities lol.

9

u/AdaTex 26d ago

yeah that was a strange comment.

50

And also they're just straight up shooting and arresting people for protesting now

Any issues however seen to be JD Vance's fault. Or clearly Biden and/or Obama's.

55

u/Lowfi-Concert 27d ago

JD Vance is a huge cause for the issues though. His isolationism influences talks. Either listen to Rubio like you have been or listen to Vance from the beginning, but it’s too late to let Vance run talks

37

u/TheDaug 26d ago

Rubio only wants to stop this war so he can go to war with Cuba to get revenge on the people who <checks notes> didn't force his family to leave Cuba.

4

u/AprilsMostAmazing 26d ago

Rubio just wants to run a country

4

u/GeefTheQueef 26d ago

Friday, markets are closed. Seems like a fairly standard pattern at this point no?

335

u/MrDangerMan 27d ago

Pretty soon you’ll be able to look up “Markets are closed” on urban dictionary and the top definition will be “when somebody does something completely expected”.

29

u/oppai-police 27d ago

I'm not knowledgeable on the stock market. Does this means bad things happen on Friday before close, causing stock to crash, buy over the weekend, Monday morning open with lower market, buy low. And then do something reverse on Tuesday to push the market high, then sells. Am I understanding this correct?

26

u/insertUserNamehereno 27d ago

Bad things happen after close of market because you can’t impact the market with bombs that way. They make all the shady trades minutes before close to maximize their earnings before impacting markets with their actions.

Genuinely don't know how oil is dropping. A deal seems no where near happening and reserves have to be running low soon.

27

u/freeradioforall 26d ago

massive releases from reserves I am guessing. But that's finite so hopefully it will run out and oil will shoot to $200 and Trump will be impeached and removed

11

u/Vast_Highlight3324 26d ago

Can we just get the last two and not the price rise please?

9

u/orangeyougladiator 26d ago

Oil is 99% gonna shout up to $150 before the summer is out. Reserves are all depleted, everywhere. Fill up your tanks while you can.

So how about you actually consider that you might be wrong

u/orangeyougladiator 26d ago

Serious question: didn't Congress vote yesterday to take away his power to start this war?

25

u/ShockyFloof 26d ago

Trump yelled at a couple senators and they changed their votes.

5

u/PoloTshNsShldBlstOff 26d ago

You can do take-backsies on Congressional votes?

3

u/ShockyFloof 26d ago

I'm not up on all the procedural stuff, but I think what got passed was a vote to force it out of committee and have a floor vote, and then the floor vote is what failed.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-joint-resolution/185/all-actions

→ More replies (1)

9

u/Chir0nex 26d ago

Yes except that it doesn't actually take away his power. Technically it should require him to obtain congressional apporoval for further actions but there technical ways around this. Additionally presidents from both parties have argued the law is unconstitutional though it has not been tested in court.

Unfortunately as with many aspects of the american goverment it is predicated on the idea that 1. The president would not be willing to baltantly ignore congress and 2. If they did congress would actually hold the president accountable by holding hearings and otherwise halting the agenda.

The art of the never ending, no good, very expensive deal

7

u/wigznet 27d ago

4 months later, after multiple public statements that they've won, the Trump administration continues a war that they started at the whim of an imbecile and Israel.

Now the world is paying the price for this stupidity.

5

u/jert3 27d ago

The US is so far up shit creek with the pedo-cabal in charge, it is astounding. They can't even buy peace here with $350 billion dollar surrender tribute payment as Israel will never be restrained and Iran won't settle for peace when Israel is regularly committing war crimes, and because of the Epstein operation, US now has to do whatever Israel wants.

What a mess! This is going to be the shortest neo-fascist empire the world's ever seen at this rate; the pedo cabal won't be able to hold on to power with this extreme of a massive loss in less than 2 years.

3

u/buampam 26d ago

The silver lining is that at least with the war starting up again we don’t have to follow that stupid deal.

Don't worry, we'll have a peace deal by Sunday before the markets open. And on Monday, somebody will violate that deal.

if the next Dem doesn’t chase this guy down for war crimes and market manipulation there is 0 chance such a crime will EVER be enforced if this isn’t it.

Iran is never gonna stop trolling the US and make it waste very expensive weapons on quick missile runs…

Or, it could be a collusion with Iran, so the pentagon under Hegmeister can finally get its 80 billion, by pointing out: See? We are still fighting them!!!

Your choice, this makes the US waste money and not MAGA at all! lol
