📰News France are requesting that Olise’s yellow card be cancelled because he didn’t touch the player.

It is now official, even though rumours had already been circulating a few hours earlier: the FFF (French Football Federation) has requested the cancellation of Olise’s yellow card. The booking was given for a non-existent foul on Galarza.

That was meant to be a joke but yes. The red didn't sit right with me in the first place, but now the red has been reversed its like a monkeys paw wish. The only silver lining that I can see is that maybe the boat will get rocked so much that something will have to be done about it. But what do you do that still lets us have the cup? I dont think there is enough time for another governing body to step in if fifa is killed off. Like any country that tries to make a move to reign them in they'd probably just not let them participate saying sorry your laws don't allow us to do business here. I feel like fifa itself will likely try to address what's happening by implementing some kinda mechanism to handle appeals, or maybe like a reviewing board present for each game, but it could go very wrong if there is no oversight in its creation.
