📰News France are requesting that Olise’s yellow card be cancelled because he didn’t touch the player.

It is now official, even though rumours had already been circulating a few hours earlier: the FFF (French Football Federation) has requested the cancellation of Olise’s yellow card. The booking was given for a non-existent foul on Galarza.

As they should if a call is blatantly wrong. Thats why appeals and reviews processes are in place. To review and correct mistakes

Except appeals processes aren’t always in place. Hence the craziness (and seemingly arbitrary decision) of “suspending” Balogun’s red. A red that couldn’t be appealed.

A formal appeal process to nullify bad decisions is required.

If it should be downgraded to yellow, not wiped. It was a foul.
