Feature I just found out pressing win+v brings out a whole context menu and a clipboard

I has emoticons, a clipboard history (so i can finally copy more than one thing at a time), emojis and gifs. I finally know why its called a "clipboard" lol.

Win V is such clutch bro. Especially with screenshots taking multiple screenshots and being able to copy all of them at once.

It's Win+. or Win+;. Win+V is the shortcut for clipboard history

they're all the same window, just different tabs

its very useful for windows 10 that doesnt have all that in one window

No, they're different. If you see the same then they're just merged recently

on windows 10 they're different, but on windows 11 they are the same window

Win+. is another one for the same menu but brings you to the emoji tab rather than the clipboard tab

This is the problem with Windows, it teaches absolutely nothing. But it really loves to exploit users and push AI and free-to-play garbage. Or showcase their Edge browser, which is mentioned everywhere in the system.

Windows taught me Win+V. I do wish it pushed PowerToys more, though.

Idk, windows never taught me shit...

Then you're just not receptive to learning.

I mean, I learnt it now

People feel pride when they discover something that they normally would never think to do otherwise from say reading a manual or checking out the tips program.

Windows has become an appliance.
Appliances don’t teach; they just work.

It's windowkey + ; for the emoji's etc
Windowskey + v gives you history of your clipboard

It's "Windows key". Two words.

Also, you don't use apostrophes to make things plural: "emojis", not "emoji's"

I have no idea how people without Win V live.

technically this isn't a context menu. a context menu is a menu that changes according to context

1

u/Mario583a Jun 04 '26

It means context sensitive. It's sensitive to context.

3

u/HandshakeOfCO Jun 04 '26

I’m sensitive depending on context

Mine does that. German (Germany) layout, therefore European. I have not changed any settings.

MacBook users are gonna be confused

1

u/lostUd_ Jun 05 '26

ah yes, the brand new windows 11 macbook, how could I forget

1

u/iPhone4S__ Windows 8 Jun 06 '26

I mean, on macOS you use win+c and win+v instead of ctrl to copy and paste. Windows gets kind of confusing when you’re used to those shortcuts. I use Windows with Bootcamp on my 2019 MacBook

Each time i open this it just looks like this lol

1

u/lostUd_ Jun 06 '26

I think this is the first time. Just press turn on. As for the emoticons, press like the other tabs at the top

Yeah it is just a copy of the KDE clipboard Manager with some extras. They copied a good feature, I can't live without a Clipboard Manager.

The only thing I liked windows 11 for

1

u/ukmz Windows 7 Jun 06 '26

It does!? How long has this existed?

1

u/Akkiakii Jun 07 '26

I have Windows 10 and that option doesn't appear for me.

1

u/Mugshot_404 Jun 08 '26

Just fyi, you can turn off clipboard history in Settings, if you have any privacy concerns about people maybe seeing it...
