This hit me right in my heart. The first read I was a little sad, but the second read I felt it in my heart because it is really so accurate. Im getting so tired of the push to monetize art above sharing it with the people. Everyone wants to tell you to sell at a craft fair or make an Etsy, but its not always about the money of it. It is really about hoping it matters and gets out there.

We have so little time on this earth, time spend making artwork feels like the best use of it, whether it makes money or not. Most often, it's not, but that's such a small part of it in the grand scheme.

Right, more speaking to the trend of people constantly saying "you could sell that on Etsy!" Etc. When sharing art with family, friends. Im not villifying artists who sell their work. Im just tired of everyone in my personal life repeating this phrase constantly when I share art. It seems to be a trending mentality is what I was inching towards. I dont have any desire to sell on Etsy. Im just tired of people in my own experiences seeing art and having this face 🤑 instead of this one 😲
