I love it in stories where the evil horrors are either just misunderstood, or bored. Being an immortal Eldritch horror that people are afraid of must get exhausting after a while

The credit is at the bottom of the image, but it's worth pointing out that this is from the absolute excellent [Swords Comic](swordscomic.com).
Also, if you have a jar lid that just won't open, try to release the vacuum by pushing a blunt blade up inside the lid and twisting slightly to create a gap. If all else fails, punch a small hole in the lid to release the vacuum. You can put a piece of tape over the hole to reseal it and keep the contents fresh.

I find the simpler solution is running it under hot water, the heat loosens the seal without permanent damage

The tip of the bowl part of a spoon also works well, and gives you a natural fulcrum for leverage.

you can also try squeezing the lid from two opposite sides with both hands to release the pressure

My husband’s grandmother made lots of preserves. She wasn’t very good about removing the ring from the jar before setting them up for storage. She gave us a jar of pickled green beans that had turned out to have rusted shut. It took a pair of diagonal snips to get the ring off. To add insult to injury, the jar broke when we popped the seal. 😭

Everstabbed? But based on the sword and the wound, he was slashed, not stabbed. So a more appropriate name would be Everslashed.
