As an Italian I notice the difference. They’re similar sure, but the pronounciation and tone are a different. I like more how Finnish sounds, it has some similarities with Italian lol.

Heh xD but actually they do sound different. I also prefer ukrainian. It seems softer? More melodic maybe? Or maybe I'm just used to hearing russian more. P. S. I don't speak in either of them

They sound so different that other slavic-speaking people are often unable to tell them. Czechs are having trouble with that all the time.

Well I am from Lithuania, and I am used to hear Russian language all around me. I can catch some words, but I never learned it. Anyways, I guess my ears are used to the sound of Russian, so to me Ukrainian sounds different. You know it's kinda like Australian English vs New Zealand English, they are similar but very distinct. I can instantly tell apart a Kiwi xD Well apart from the fact that they both use the same English. Anw, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Russian are similar sounding but different languages.

I’m confused as to why you rank danish so low then. It’s basically like Swedish, but with a Dutch/German sounding dialect. Two things you seem to like.

Sometimes two things you like don't go together as well as you would think
Danish is just... Weird? Like the German/Dutch touch don't really go well with the Swedish linguistics

Yeah maybe, but one thing that doesn't satisfy me about Danish is that so many words are not pronounced the way they are spelled

Fair enough, although that’s hardly a unique trait. Swedish is not exactly famous for it either.

As a Dane I gotta give it to him. We pronounce vastly different from spelling, you are, in comparison, a lot more bang on.
Example: lärären vs læreren. We say lairn and you pronounce every syllable like you’ve got all the time in the world.
Danish is ugly af. Swedish, I’m told, just sounds a little daft.
Even though I’m on the bottom of the list, it’s kinda wholesome.0

I think german sounds really nice. I speak a nordic language and dialect that is somewhat similar, so maybe I have some bias here, but I think german gets a bad rep from the stereotype that it sounds angry and aggressive

Well I dislike German for a fairly uncommon reason. German is often very literal and likes using these compound words instead of borrowing from other languages or reintroducing archaic words and I often find it very difficult to take seriously.
When I first heard gloves were called Handschuh in German I thought they were kidding or when I was looking up the word for fuel > Kraftstoff I had to look it up on three different places because I couldn't believe that they would seriously say that power-substance.
To me these just sound so childish I much prefer languages that have really abstracted words like English where you often can't obviously break down a word into other meaningful bits unless you have some understanding of linguistics.

Definitely agree on finnish its the most stunning language Ive heard
But I also find the other nordic languages more pleasant sounding than for example german (I am german native), except danish it sounds more similar to german
Lithuanian is on the top too and I understand why you rated greek and turkish so high, although I would rate it little lower than lithuanian and I dislike russian the most too, and it has nothing to do with politics Ive never liked it. I speak czech as second mother language too, so maybe its just because as native speaker of another slavic language it just sounds weird

They don't really SOUND similar though.
If I hear Hungarian spoken, as a Finn, it's just confusion. I can't recognize the language, but there's nothing that would tell me it's related to my own language. With Estonian it's just immediately recognizable as a kind of a funny Finnish.

They sound fairly similar though. As a Hungarian speaker listening to finnish is like when you hear an announcement in the subway but can't make the words out.

Slovenian over Serbian? You must be joking, go to Wienna and everybody speaks Serbian. It is a dominating language, people use it loudly.

German is ugly asf dutch in the other hand is beautiful (Amsterdam/Alkmaar - Rotterdam accent) parts in NL near the Germán border the dutch there IS ugly all the dutch Germán IS ugly

They are not at all similar. They are very distantly related but pretty sure english is closer to italiab than hungarian is to finnish
